Looking for help for your troubled teen?
This is an incredible book. I highly recommend it as a self-help/self-exploration workbook. The teen years are often filled with frustration, anger and internal rage. This book is a great tool that allows the teen to work on and through the most difficult times. It is obvious to me that this book was created from years of training and experience working with troubled youth. It definitely exhibits the expertise that is required to provide such powerful healing material.

A practical tool kit for understanding and working with anger (at any age)
Down-to-earth, simple and straight-forward, this book is written in a way that speaks directly to teens. Yet, at the same time, it offers tools and techniques for ANYONE who struggles to find healthier, wiser ways to deal with anger. Tested through the authors' personal and professional experiences, the book offers over 40 activities for understanding and working through anger, and provides links to downloadable guided meditations. As a mindfulness instructor, I appreciate this very valuable resource.

Helpful Therapy Tool
This book is helpful for me, as a therapist, working with teenagers who experience anger and struggle with controlling it in a safe fashion. However, I it can be a little tough for some kids to understand, it is definitely not for those whose intellect is lower than your average 16-18 year old kid. Also, I cannot imagine a 16 year old boy, for instance, willingly doing this on his own, but it is a great tool for a therapist.

Gets to the root cause of anger in order to really deal with it
I work with teens with anger issues. One teen I work with doubted working through this book would be any more beneficial than the other anger management programs he has been through. He read the intro and then I asked him if his past anger management programs focused on behaviors he can do to manage his anger like deep breathing and counting, to which he replied "Yes." I asked him if he had ever gone through a program based on developing insight and getting to the root causes of his anger, to which he replied "No." When he realized this book works on anger froma different perspective than the programs he has been through, he was hooked. It is written perfectly for the teen crowd.

I’m a private practice therapist and this book has been incredibly effective with multiple of my PRSD, GAD, and ODD clients even down to age 11.

My teens didn't care much for the activities. I used it more as a model (DAP wording) for psychoeducation purposes.

Great Tool
I love all of these books. I have 5 of them. I can use the book as a guide o working with clients or just intermittently for psychoeducation. Regardless, all of my teens say the things they are learning are extremely helpful.

Very helpful and accessible book
I bought this book for my son and had a good look myself before giving it to him to work through. It is really interesting and gives a real insight into the root of the problem and how we respond to our anger. It seems to make sense that this is the best way to tackle anger by mindfully looking at it, understanding it and then finding ways to alter subtly your thinking and responses. My son is pleased with it and has started working his way through it.

Fantastic book.
Fantastic book...purchased as my son is having issues with anger and these have helped him communicate much better. Have also been using this book as I have to deal with alcohol related brain injuries and the aggressiveness that comes with people being frustrated, this has been fantastic for working with adults with anger issues as it's so simple, it's brilliant!

Fantastic book
So well laid out, written well and so accessible to teens without being patronising. My 13 year old daughter is working through this with her granny (she'd just reject it instantly if I tried!), And it is really great. The perfect book for teen anger.
