PARTICLE Relay Shield Internet of Things Accessory for 2nd Generation Wi-Fi and Cellular Connectivity Development Boards

These are super handy for photon projects that require 12v power and isolated switching. I found out by happy accident that the board will fit perfectly into the card slots in a Hammond enclosure part number 1554S2GY (check Mouser or Digikey)

This is a great little relay panel. Can be used with automation apps managed through Particle's online dashboard or utilize a "manual" activation of relays using the Tinker function on your phone's Particle photon app.

I am a huge Particle Photon fan and love these boards. The relay board is a great add-on. The library provided by Particle is easy to use. I have also partnered this board with the Power Shield for even greater flexibility.

This item is incorrectly listed as being four inches long and 2 inches wide, when in fact it is six inches long and one and three quarters wide, doesn't fit in my enclosure. Particles website doesn't specify product dimensions at all. Otherwise works as expected.

I used this on some cheesy Halloween animatronics along with the Particle PKIT. It was a great introduction to IoT and the examples and support from Particle were awesome.

I made a sprinkler system with this. It works like a charm. No issues after several months of problem free usage.

I've used this in more than one project. It's easy to setup and make work. The specs of the relays make them applicable to a fairly large range of uses. The Particle Photon makes cloud/IFTTT applications easy. So, this is an easy way to start a project that needs relays. My only complaint about this really isn't about this relay shield, it's that Particle Photons are a bit touchy when resetting them and are fairly easy to brick. Once bricked they are hard to revive. Other than that, it's a great IOT ecosystem.
