This review is probably best for those with thin hair. Not thinning, but thin. Although, I have both. This pomade is a bit thick but clear. Has a great smell, not obnoxious. The hold last all day and the shine is just right. Not shiny, but visible. For me, I spread a tiny amount in my fingers on each hand and add just a little water to one hand and spread that into both. The product is then perfect, easy to spread and the hold is fantastic. Will last as long as you need. Washes out easily. I get the smallest 1.7 ounce container and that lasts me about 10 months. It may be expensive, but that's well worth it for my use case.

Would give this stuff 6 stars if I could. It's perfect as a dry application pomade, it leaves your hair looking like you did nothing to it, but keeps your hair in place even in strong wind. The lady loves that she can still run her hands through my hair without them getting sticky, or stuck. In fact, she thought I didn't use any product at all in my hair until I told her, nope, I use this fancy french stuff! It's also easy to put your hair back into place the second day if you need to go do something without washing your hair first, a little water will make it moldable again.Also, if you've tried other pomades like LAYRITE, this stuff smells *way* better and doesn't make your hair sticky.Hot tip: The instructions say to apply to damp, toweled-dry hair. However, if you completely dry your hair first like I do, all you have to do is add a bit of water and mix it in the palm of your hand, and it slicks right up; I make it just slick enough to muss into my hair and it thus doesn't leave the hair looking wet, or cause it to curl.

This holds my thick hair well. Still feels a little stiff if you use too much but one of the better products I’ve found. Smell is clean.

Medium hold, did not plaster down my flyaways (got some clear mascara to do this). The substance is very hard & wax-like so it was difficult to rub between the palms to apply to the hair. It's also sticky. Has a pleasant, slight scent not overpowering. However, it did roughly shape my hair the way I wanted to, so I was pleased enough with it. I'm glad I got the small sample size.

This is a five start product for its intent, but the amount you get for the price is very questionable. I'll be using it until I found another similar product at a better value.

Overall this product is great. Smells like watermelon candy for me and holds all day. Easy to wash and easy to style hair. I have thick long hair.

I have bought this stuff multiple times and am always satisfied. It's got a fairly strong hold so you don't need too much (I use about a dime or nickel sized amount for ~2in long hair). It also works slightly differently on wet vs. dry hair for added control. But one of my favorite things about it is that it rinses clean out of your hair every time without even needing shampoo. Other products I don't want to rinse out because they seem to need to build up in your hair a little before they work well (which can get a little gross), but this works on freshly shampooed hair just fine. Also this little 1.7oz size is perfect for travel. Really it hits on all cylinders!
