Wagner's 52004 Classic Wild Bird Food, 20-Pound Bag

In the Ingredients on the package it states the FIRST ingredient as White Millet (which is the exact reason I purchased this product). But, there is hardly ANY WHITE MILLET in this mixture. Most of it is Milo and cracked corn. I should have known by the price that I wasn't getting a good deal on a White Millet product. I certainly will never buy Wagner's product again.-SiciliangalI started feeding the birds at my house last summer. Apparently, they told two friends and they told two friends and so on and so on....now my bird feeders look like a bird airport! I've got all sorts of birds hanging out now; and this feed does just fine. With the amount of food they are going through, price is a concern; and this was a decent value. I buy several bags a month. If I recall correctly, they are Subscribe & Save too, which is a plus. I may be spending more on feeding the birds than I originally planned; but they've gotten me hooked; so I'll keep on ordering this food. – BubbaBREALLY BAD PRODUCT. Other than non bird food detritus mentioned it contains mostly millet and cracked corn and a few broken sunflower seeds.I ordered it to be delivered to my home. Instead it was dropped at the post office and I had to go pick it up. I dumped it in a field rather than dragging it back to the post office. But I suggest spending a few extra dollars and buying the Wagner's Greatest Variety Blend, which the birds seem to like much more. This Classic Wild Bird Food has a lot of the tiny seeds that just get raked out of the feeder and onto the ground. That pile will eventually get picked through, but . . . .If you're going to feed them (and GOOD FOR YOU), then I suggest springing the little extra money for the higher tier option rather than this Classic. – T.M. ReaderI have purchased this mix before and got what I expected for the price. Lots of “filler” seeds but a fairly decent amount of sunflower seed and other good stuff. This time the bag was probably 60-70% white millet (milo?). Any bird lover knows that our feathered friends will ignore those little round white seeds. Don’t get fixed on brand names and the highly marketed, overpriced bird food brands out there. My budget doesn't really allow for more expensive, higher grade seed products for my wild friends but this seed is always nice not a lot of extra dust that I have seen in other products. Not a lot of waste below the feeder as well. I did purchase though for $13 for 20lbs. The price is currently at $24 for 20lbs. I normally never comment on the price but seems this product fluctuates in price so FYI ( I have bought now twice, both times under $15 ) – Kristen BWOW! This sees was a bargain. Too bad I can’t find that bargain again. I’ve never had seed attract so many colorful song birds. I also get blood red Cardinals, large blue birds, barn swallows, turtle doves, Robins, and many more. I bought shepherds hooks to hang the seed. But Amazon had a window feeder. Again WOW! My tinted windows give them a sense they alone but from inside we can watch these beautiful creatures of God in their up close Glory. It makes for great live Cat and some breeds of dogs a 24 hour entertainment viewing. It’s fun just watching your pets.Caution. Adhear the feeder far and high enough from chipmunks. The birds in our area are picky -- I've had one bag of seeds they liked, and one that they refused to touch. Both were labeled as a variety mix meant to attract a large number of wild birds. Since I don't want to break the bank on seed I figured I would try this blend. The birds love it! They go through the feeder within a week. I have to space out how often I put feed out so that I don't have to buy this bag too often. I anticipate having to buy a new bag once every couple months.

I am a PRIME member who has been buying this for years and it words fantastically well. No exaggeration, when we put out seeds, birds appear from everywhere like a scene from Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds." They lineup in nearby trees, along the deck, along power lines and on fences. The mix of seeds in the pack attract a wide variety of birds including a pair of beautiful Cardinals and two pairs of Blue Birds. It attracts birds large and small through all four seasons. I see where other people write that the product has either changed or that birds aren't attracted to it. I have not had that experience. Maybe birds in New Jersey are just hungrier and less finicky, but the seeds create a frenzy when we put them out. Very happy with the product and will continue to buy.

I have bought this bird seed before and it has arrived via uses and or ups without issue. Birds love it. FedEx this time delivered it to someone somewhere but not me or a block radius of me. No response from FedEx or seller (5 days now) as to where it is or if it will be replaced...my birds are hungry and I have to go buy seed (little bags) from store...way more expensive and not near the quality of this missing order.

I love feeding the birds, especially in the winter time when it's harder for them to get food. The birds really love Wagner food, and I can hear them out there singing and calling for me to refill the feeders with more. They really love the sunflower, and this stuff contains a generous amount. All the birds in the neighborhood will love you and be singing for joy !

I use this for a suction cup feeder on my classroom window and it's a great choice for me because 1) I'm a broke teacher paying out of pocket for this and 2) it's the right kind of food for the birds in my area. My class loves seeing our "pet cardinal" stop by to eat on a regular basis. His favorite part is the sunflower seeds.I did research before getting this particular food. It doesn't contain extra cheap stuff for bulk; it's stuff the birds actually want to come eat which is important because they're braving tons of kids through my window! My coworker bought something else and no birds touch it.

If you want to draw birds to your porch or yard where can watch and enjoy their antics, this mix is GREAT! Bonus is the nice resealable bag that holds up well even if you forget and leave out in the rain overnight... oops! I bought this mix to draw birds that my wife loves to watch for our anniversary and within a day or two she was blessed with an abundance of many different species of wonderful fun frolicking feathered creatures. She loves it! She's happy and well so am I. Thanks!
