No residue at all, completely cleans contacts
I have a PC that just would not boot. I have 20 years experience integrating PC systems. Nothing worked. I even pulled the processor, straightened a pin, but no go. Then I got WD40 contact cleaner. I pulled all the connectors, memory dimms, adapter boards, and sprayed everything with WD40 Contact Cleaner. It dries very quickly. I connected everything back up, and poof, the system booted up, and it's been working ever since (6 months). Talk about getting me out of a jam. I was ready to replace the mobo! But for a few dollars and an hour's time I was saved a $200-$300 expense. And I hardly used any. The can still feels full! I seriously could not believe it. And I shall never forget.Five thumbs up.

Left a residue, not sure why, WD-40 company still hasn't replied
I was cleaning a Yamaha keyboard - specifically the computer board above the keys. The keyboard was very dirty and all the E keys had stopped playing as well as the B flat keys. I followed a Youtube video right down to the money. Everything was going great until this sticky white residue started appearing. I freaked out thinking I had ruined the keyboard. However, I continued to use it, wipe it off with a micro cloth and got about 90% off. The keyboard works fine, apparently the welds will put off this white residue, but it had me scared to death.

Cleans effectively
Fast shipping time and effective at cleaning electronics, would recommend if you need something to help clean crusty thermal paste, controllers, or io ports.

Great product
I didn't know this stuff was even a thing until I seen someone in a gaming group talking about fixing gaming controllers with it. So far I've fixed a sticky button on a ps4 controller, and a sticky button in my car. A new controller would have been 65 bucks and who knows how much my dealership would have wanted to work on that (I have to take it to a BMW licensed location) so all on all the 15 bucks I spent on this can that I'm still going to get another good 48 uses out of was more than worth it.

Used this to clean a sticky button on my PS5
Worked perfectly. It took a while, at first there was no difference. But after I stopped playing and put my controller down the next day I noticed it wasn't sticky anymore. This was months ago and I haven't had issues with my controller since.
