Botanical Based Cream Perfect For Sensitive, Compromised and/or Dry Skin, No Harsh Ingredients
The Orpheus Ressurection Bio-Shield Cream is the fourth Orpheus product I’ve used, and I can always count on Orpheus products as being comforting and gentle to my sensitive, dry and mature skin. The Orpheus Cream works well with other brands too, but it pairs perfectly with other products in the line I already use such as the Orpheus Bio-Luminous Dewy Essence and the All-In-One Stem Cell Serum (sold separately). This cream (and the whole line) is great for keeping my skin barrier healthy and repairing it when it gets damaged from using products that turn out to be harsh on my skin.It takes a firm press to get the Orpheus Cream out of the container, but my container pump works fine and it’s not difficult to extrude the cream that comes out in a squiggly line. This botanical based cream feels mild and lacks artificial chemical fragrance and other harsh ingredients; all ingredients are low risk per EWG. This has a thick consistency, but still spreads smoothly. I love that it calms my skin and leaves it well moisturized, plus it has a firming and rich feel but it’s not greasy at all. The Orpheus Cream leaves my skin fresh and dewy looking. This cream initially feels slightly occlusive on my skin like it leaves a protective layer (perhaps from squalene), but that feeling goes away in a few minutes, and my skin ends up absorbing this cream really well. It has some great ingredients, including ceramides, squalene and glycerin that protect and repair the skin barrier. It hydrates my dry skin well and makes my skin feel soft and smooth. This cream works well during the day as my skin stays comfortably hydrated, my sunscreen layers well over it, and it causes no makeup issues. It’s also great as a calming night cream, especially boosted with a facial oil. I’m always happy with Orpheus skin care, and this cream is no exception. Love it. 5 stars. Made in USA.

Suits Alaskan winter skin
I was very tempted by this because it mentions cold climates in particular. Alaskan winter is sometimes so cold it stings your face, yet brutally dry, which surprises some people. After a shower, my face is so dry that it’s itchy, because I’ve stripped my skin of the protective barrier, so in winter, i have to up my game.I’ve been using it for about a week, over a light serum, and it’s creamy, and fairly heavy, but does not sit on my skin and feel oily, which i cannot stand. If my face feels greasy, i will just wipe it all off again, thereby undoing any good. Anything i use has to have the ability to soak in. And this soaks in. And then I’ve been using a couple of drops of a skin oil to seal the moisture barrier in. So far no itchy skin, and that’s a big deal for me.I can’t say that i look 20 or anything like that, and that my wrinkles have disappeared, but i have had a couple of compliments, asking me what I’m using. I think that for our dry winter, i will be using this product. It’s not that cheap, but i wanted it primarily for winter, as I don’t suffer with this itchy skin as soon as winter is gone. That’s when i switch up my routine to different products and a lighter moisturizer. But I’m pleased with the effects so far, because i rarely get compliments on my skin.

Too thick for me, my skin feels dry the next morning.
I picked this cream to use at night, when I like thicker moisturizers. I really like that this doesn't have added fragrances, since I don't care for heavy scents on my face. However, I don't like how it leaves my skin feeling powdery and dry, and it doesn't feel as good as the combination of oils and natural nut butters that I prefer. The mornings after using this cream, my face feels dry to the point of verging on flaky. It doesn't moisturize as much as my oils and butters, and sits in a layer over my skin. I really don't care for how this feels, and honestly it seems as if my expression lines around my mouth and eyes are more visible after using this cream for several night in a row. I quit using it and went back to my previous routine.Perhaps this cream simply doesn't work well with my serums, but they're doing too much good to quit using in favor of this cream alone. I don't hate it, but I'm not in love with it either. I can see how other people might love it, but it's just not for me.Orpheus Ressurection Bio-Shield Cream - 1.7 Fl. Indulgent and Wonderfully Effective Skin Revival
My skin has had a difficult time adjusting from a sub-tropical, humid environment to a temperate, often dry, environment. Of course, it doesn’t help that I’m well past the age of resiliency. However, this is resilience in a bottle!First impressions are that this is beautifully packaged: the periwinkle colored box with the spring green interior. The slender periwinkle glass bottle. Both bear the markings of the stylized flower logo. The bottle has a very nice pump dispenser that doesn’t over-dispense. But all of the lovely exterior aside, it’s the contents that are truly wonderful. The first use on freshly cleansed skin had me repeatedly touching my face - the instant supple smoothness had me hooked. With daily use my skin returned to its supple self, just a Rose of Jericho revives. Even a few ventures out into sub-25 degree weather didn’t bring back a return of the patchy dryness. This Resurrection Bio-Shield really is a barrier to harshness! The cream itself isn’t heavy, doesn’t leave residue, and has only a very light, very pleasant hint of a scent. It’s luxurious in its results. It’s indispensable. The Rosewater Toner only adds to the immersive indulgent experience offered by this brand. I am absolutely thrilled with this toner. Yes, it’s pricey. But the ingredients are sublime: Bulgarian rose oil! Not some synthetic stuff or a cheap geranium oil trying to pass itself off as rose. But a true Bulgarian rose oil scent that wafts through like you are sitting in an old world castle’s rose garden. This is more of a nectar for the face than a run of the mill toner. Your skin will thank you for investing in it with Orpheus.
