Sweet, active, tree loving outdoors living, never wants to be inside granddaughter , “I want a big swing in the trees for Christmas “ me “I will make that happen “Mixed review here because I probably didn’t visualize how much of the length would wrap around the big oak tree limb.The limb was 12 feet or so off the ground and I visualize 8 plus 4 feet that was included with the tree swing would be perfect. But the limb we were hanging from, a sturdy limb took up almost all the length. Fortunately we had a length of strong rope we added, plus strong knots reinforced with gorilla tape.I still feel the wide webbing will protect the tree in the long run so I am happy with what we did. My granddaughter loves it and doesn’t want to go home when she visits so over all a win.

These straps use a pass through loop to cinch around the support limb. I use a large tree branch to attach a swing for the kids. This will be my second or third set up swing straps. The others have lasted about a year before breaking/failing. Typically, the kids abuse them pretty good by twisting around (you know kid's stuff). The straps say they support 2,200 lbs and my kids weigh less than that :). What you really care about with swing straps is longevity. How long can they maintain integrity after being yanked and twisted against tree bark.The other straps that I have utilized a metal ring to create the cinch around the tree branch. With a metal clip, the grip on the tree is probably a little tighter. However, the point where the strap comes through the metal loop is a tight turn with lots of friction or force. That is where the others straps always break.I've only used these for a few months, but I'm optimistic that the cloth loop cinch will help the straps outlast their cheaper alternatives.

I've never written a review for amazon, but I have never felt the need to before today...We ordered 4 Royal Oak tree swing straps for my parents to bring when they visited us abroad. And I made a big mistake with my purchase. I completely misread the very clear explanation that stated that it was a SINGLE strap and not a double... and for $8 more, I could have had the set (which is what we needed). Even more so... since I ordered 4 products, there was also a 15% discount that I also missed because I didn't read everything through - again, my fault.I contacted Royal Oak (who sent me the funniest email after I made the purchase), explained the situation and my stupidity... and they agreed to send me the 4 straps I needed at the cost it would have been had I not misread and been so silly. I was completely to blame and Royal Oak... well, simply put... they treated me like royalty. :)NOT TO FORGET TO MENTION... we've been using the 4 Royal Oak straps for 2 of our swings and they have been completely wonderful. Very strong, and they don't move at all. Minus my mistake, this has been the best buying experience I have ever had on amazon.Moral of this review... read what is posted very clearly and BUY ITEMS FROM THIS SELLER! Swivel doesn't really swivel much under load. Nylon just twists up. Just an FYI.

The swing arrived earlier than predicted and we were delighted. It was very easy to assemble. The instructions are clear, easy to follow, and include photos. It comes with a wrench to tighten lugs. No other tools are needed. The steel rods are threaded into the outside edge of the swing fabric and one end of the rod slides into the end of the other rod. So before threading the rods check to be sure that they are aligned so that there is an end that is smaller in diameter going into the end of the next rod which has a slightly larger diameter. The fabric is strong and porous so water can drain off. As you can see from the photos all materials are good quality and heavy duty. We also bought the Tree Swing Straps that comes with a spinner. Photo included. We bought this swing for our grandchildren to play on when they visit and we have a perfect Red Maple tree branch from which to hang it. Looking forward to some fun times. We’ve been using these for three years. I am buying new straps to be safe and replace ours as we have friends and neighbors on the swing often.Excellent product.

After almost 2 years, this strap tore. luckily no one got hurt. It's gotten a lot of use from my kids in our saucer tree swing. The spinner/swivel that is included, doesn't swivel very easily under load. Like the rope twists up a bunch, and the strap twists up, and then maybe finally the swivel will get enough tension to spin and the swing suddenly drops 6" from unwinding. I'm going to try a more expensive swivel and see if that helps the strap to last longer.Regardless, kids have gotten a lot of use out of it, and the price is good; so I would still buy again.
