I enjoy doing latch hook. I purchased this product to make a pillow for my couch. I will reorder more to make matching pillows.

I purchased this for one of my grand daughters. (Last count was 8) she likes it , except for the colors mixing together.

I gave this to my 6-year-old daughter for Christmas and luckily did catch that there wasn't a hook included, so was able to add that to my order. Even with the hook though, this was a little too much for my girl. She needed more help than expected. Now that she's 7 going on 8, it's perfect. I don't know if there's enough yarn yet, as another reviewer mentioned. We're only about an 1/8 through this kit. When I was a kid I had a Holly Hobbie latch hook kit that I still hadn't finished by the time I turned 18 and moved out of the house, so maybe this will be the same deal. We'll see!There are a lot of colors on this butterfly and it can be hard to see where to place each one, but if you're not too OCD and are okay with some blurry lines (it is yarn, after all, lots of forgiveness), then you should be fine with this.For now, it's a nice way to pass 15 or 20 minute blocks of time here and there.

I am presently in the process of making this pillow now. I am making it for my grandson for Christmas. He loves dogs but his family is allergic. So this will be the next best thing. It looks exactly like our 17 year old golden did as a puppy.Thank you.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas and she is just now using it after finishing up some other projects. Very disappointed it did not come with a hook, and it was one of the more expensive ones. The actual pattern is not color-coded on so that makes it more difficult because you have to look at a paper to see where you're going to put your next color. Add to that when she started from the corners they started coming apart and ripping very poor quality. I do not recommend this. I basically wasted my money.

I purchased this for my daughter for Christmas. She wanted one of these so badly and this one looked cute so I bought it. I'll be honest she has not finished it yet but she is well on her way. The part that is troubling is the way the yarn comes. In the box you will receive 4 plastic bound clumps of yarn. The yarn is all mixed together. Notice this kit is mostly browns and yellows. None of the colors are labeled what they are so I think we were supposed to guess. There is supposed to be Dark Gold, Medium Gold, Light Gold, Medium Yellow, Light Yellow, Cream, White, Black and Brown. The difference between dark gold and medium gold is so slight that you have to hold them next to each other against a white paper to tell them apart. It is like that for all the colors. And not all of the same colors are together so you have to sort through HUNDREDS of yarn strands trying to figure out what pile to put them it. It would have been so much easier if they just put the like colors all together and labeled them.

my 9 yr old is into crafting/sewing, making things so this was right up her alley. She can do it anywhere, and its just time consuming enough that she can see progress getting made but can't do it all at once, like other projects.

This is going to be a Christmas gift
