Boring from start to finish
I only watched it as I got it free and I like Egyptian scenery. I couldn’t even tell if there was a story line here as it was just a woman in Cairo catching up with old friends. Worst film I have ever watched

A Serenely Poetic Masterpiece
Beautifully slow-paced film with stunning cinematography of this extraordinary ancient city. It has heightened my desire to visit.

Nothing happens, zilch, nada.
Beautiful locations but not quite sure what this film was about, apart from being atmospheric. I am French, so I am used to French fims which are all about the message and mood but where very little action happens. In that respect, Luxor breaks a new record.

Luxor digs up the past through a spiritual pilgrimage of reminiscence.
Luxor digs up the past through a spiritual pilgrimage of reminiscence, capturing the city's Egyptological structures with some hypnotisingly beautiful cinematography, yet the sorrowful characterisations of Hana and her former lover were drier than the arid environment, lacking that contemplative power director Durra was seeking.

Not as expected.
A very disappointing film with no plot. A big let down as I had been looking forward to watching it for so long.
