Adobe Dreamweaver Classroom in a Book (2022 release) 1st Edition

This book is better than the one I had to purchase for class "New Perspectives" as it gives you practice files where New Perspectives does not.

Lost all my web development software, upgraded Dreamweaver and has been great. re-doing my old website with a more responsive one.

Don’t buy this book. A lot of the book uses a feature called Extract which is not available in Dreamweaver any longer. (This is the 2022 version of the book and Extract was removed from Dreamweaver in 2021.) If I had known this, I would not have purchased this book. This was the latest version of the book and it is outdated. Very frustrating because this is an expensive book.

It is a long winded confusing book the first two chapters give you detailed descriptions of basic easy to explain things fly over the code and is incredibly out of order really wants you to download files though just get a css book

I bought this book because I had successfully finished using the Classroom in a Book for Adobe Muse. I am disappointed--First, the print in the examples in the book is very small. In order to read them I had to resort to the online book on a 27" computer screen. Then I found that I could not duplicate many of the suggested screen views in Dreamweaver pages so could not complete the suggested activity. Incorrect instructions for Lessons 1, 4, & 6, prevented finishing the lessons.

It is criminal that this book is still published and sold Adobe is discontinuing Dreamweaver as of 2020 and I only found out by trying to get the examples in the book to work.

I did not purchase this book from Amazon, but I wanted to share my review here. I purchased this book about an hour ago and just new requested a refund from that store (won't mention is here, but it is the "official" store. I immediately looked for help on snippets. There was none. Nada. Zero. It doesn't even appear in the Index. I am returning it on principle. So much for the "official book" according to Adobe.

Extract panel was removed by Adobe around June 2022. Lesson 6 cannot be completed because of this and the extract feature in Photoshop did not help. This book is basically a repeat version of 2021 and 2020. I was really hoping that they would have fixed this so that I could complete the lesson. Very disappointing and lots of wasted time trying to work around this oversight.

I am very satisfied with working with this book.There is another review about not being able to get some lessons done. This has to do with the versions of Dreamweaver. If you go to the Errata of the book you find a link for a workaround and you can finish the lessons pretty well.The lessons files that you can download are matching the content of the chapters. So start every chapter with a new site and link to the folder of the chapter.I would recommend reading the prolog carefully and follow every step throughout the book without haste. In my opinion the author chose is a very elaborate way to teach.I would highly recommend this book.

The book is informative taking you thru start-up to problem solving and a brief introduction to software's many hidden talents!

The book is good but Dreamweaver's latest release is not the one this book addresses. Adobe has removed 'Extract' and 'Edge Fonts' from the software and this makes the book less useful for the current version. The fault is not in the book it is just that Adobe has decided to withdraw/change features of the software.
