The last in the series??? NO: Help King survive!!
This is another great novella in a truly fantastic series. I don't want to explain to potential readers how great this is, just read some of the other reviews. Instead, this is a cry for help. Jeremy Robinson has announced that he is going to end all of his series, and that this will probably be the last Continuum novella. Now, I can live with seeing some of his other series end. The kaiju books were great but enough is enough... The Hunger series is fabulous, but if he wraps up the story in a final great volume, I won't complain. But ending the Continuum series??? I must confess that I consider these his best books (and I have read almost everything he has written! (he is writing so fast, that I'm still trying to catch up)). King is stranded in time, has to live through 2000 years to get back to his loved ones, so what an enormous potential for a long series of great stories!! Surely, all that potential should not be left untapped! So many eras with so many different settings; he can travel all over the world to be a part of anything that he chooses to witness or to influence... Personally, I would just love to see King go to the Louisiana Hayride to watch the young Elvis perform...I'm just halfway through Centurion, but I'm experiencing very mixed feelings. The story is absolutely fantastic, but the thought that this will/may be the last one is just killing me. So, what should we do? Try to get Jeremy Robinson to change his mind about this particular series? Or should he add the Continuum series to Kindle Worlds, so that other authors can write stories in this series (similar to what David Wood just did with his Dane Maddock series)?Let me (and what's more important: Jeremy Robinson) know what you think by adding comments below. Surely, as a fan you're not ready to see this great series end???

Farwell to the Guardian.
This book had a lot of cool ideas. There were some very neat ties to the mythology of the larger Chess Team universe, and the monsters and other creatures in this story are creepy and very imaginative. There is an interesting cast of characters in this story that feel like an ancient version of the Chess Team. The story also built some interesting backstory and mythology for the monsters in the Chess Team series. One of the best parts of this book was that it is the only continuum novella to have a whole cast of heroes. As I said above, the characters in this book feel like an ancient version of the chess team, which I really liked. The monsters were also extremely grotesque and imaginatively disturbing. That said, this book was a little disappointing. As just a continuum novella this book is fine, but as the last book in the series it left a few too many questions unanswered in my opinion. The narrative was also a little jumpy at times. Ultimately this book lacked the sense of closure and completeness I was expecting from the final book in the series. Overall this was a very fun book but it won’t be replacing Patriot as my favorite continuum novella.

Hunting demons? Just another day...
Centurion is the third book in the Jack Sigler Continuum series by Jeremy Robinson and J. Kent Holloway. If you have been keeping up with the Chess Team series, you’ll understand King’s journey through time. If not, I suggest you pick them up, it all makes much more sense that way. This book has King in the part of a Roman Centurion hunting Longinus, a man haunted by guilt and ridden by demons. And the way these demons hunt is sickeningly awful. King and his companions follow the gruesome path left behind by these things and King must learn to deal with the guilt that has been his constant companion since he left behind those he loves. The characters created here by Robinson and Holloway are well written and I love the way the ending falls in with a famous work. Most will recognize it from high school literature. I look forward to another Sigler Continuum soon.

Chilling
Centurion brings you (and King) up against a different, and more disturbing, enemy. Be prepared to be grossed out as well as haunted by this eerie foe.

Immortal vs Immortal.
King is stuck in the past, waiting through time to meet his family. But in the novella, he faces someone that might stop him from doing exactly that.He meets another immortal, someone who did something bad, and now cannot hide from his guilt. Even though he doesnt want to, he creates death wherever he goes. But when he meets King, things change.

Another Fantastic Read from Jeremy Robinson!
The Jack Sigler books are some of my favorite books to read! The Continuum series is my most favorite! An immortal Jack Sigler, what else could you want? Jack, this time, is a Roman Soldier tasked with finding the run away Centurion who pierced the side of Christ on the Cross. He finds instead an almost immortal monster with strength in its massive numbers. Just how many ways can Jack die? You'll find out in this one! Jump in with both feet and read on!

Jack Sigler / King returns
A great duo combined to make this an excellent addition to the Jack Sigler 'Continuum' / 'Chess Team' series. There were, however, some especially gruesome/disgusting passages that presented rather disturbing images. Kent, were they yours? If so, you really outdid yourself with your day job inclusions. The story line was somewhat reminiscent of the Barry Sadler's 'Casca' books I enjoyed decades ago. A very good read. I especially appreciated the King timeline at the end.

Surprisingly very disappointing.
I love Jeremy Robinson's books, they are full of action and great stories even if they are often implausible. I'm wondering how much actual input he had into this book as both the writing style, and story are pretty terrible. Example; the first settlement featured in the story is first described as a village, then on the next page as a town, and then as a city before being described as a village again. Very poor/non-existent editing. All of the other books featuring King are pretty good, but this is a stinker.Time to find some better partners Mr R!!!

Entertaining
Another good story in Kings series. I enjoyed it but there was something about it that I couldn't quite connect with, that stopped me from loving it. Buy still a good short story.

Lots of action and blood and guts.
First time I've ever been dissapointed by Mr Robinson. If you're after a gore fest then enjoy this book. If you are looking for the depth of story to go along with the blood and guts that we have been spoiled with for so many years, you might have to look deeper than I could see.But thank you Mr Robinson for all the other wonderful stories you given us over the years. Here's hoping for many more.
