It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Season 8 [Blu-ray]

I've been a die hard fan of this show since episode 1 and I'm glad to say that Season 8 is yet another batch of hilarious hijinks that continue to make this show one the most funny and brilliant programs on television today. A lot of people may find this shows' humour to be too raunchy and over the top and like many other shows after it runs a few seasons it begins to spawn it's own "hater fans" (think Comic Book Guy from The Simpsons) that continue to watch the show only to complain about "how it's not as good as the earlier seasons" or "how they are recycling their own ideas." I've read numerous reviews on this season and even the few previous seasons stating these exact words and I couldn't disagree more. I have never seen a demise in this shows' quality as I have found every episode to be flawless except one ("Franks Brother" from Season 7 fell flat for me but it did have a few good jokes). This season even pokes fun at itself for recycling its own ideas in one episode and has cameos from nearly every secondary character this show has ever had so far in its 8 year run. The Waitress, Rickety Cricket, The Mcpoyles, The Lawyer, Dennis' Ex, and even Dennis and Dee's Nazi Grandfather make a return for the opening episode which is a great throwback to Season 1. To me this show is the new Seinfeld as it has never been more fun to watch a group of self involved people try to better themselves and outdo one another all while not caring at all about the people's lives that they destroy along the way. If you've been a fan of this show and its first 7 seasons then this season will not disappoint.

I own every season, I grew up with these guys so they have a small place in my heart.

I just started watching this show and I love it. The characters are so absurd and the actors play them so convincingly, they all deserve awards! I watch a lot of comedies and I can't believe how long it took me to try this one. It is roll on the floor hilarious. When the added Danny Devito to the cast it put it over the top . I literally laugh out loud on almost every episode. These characters are all some of the worst people on the planet, but you have to love them. I don't know why, anyway, if you have a sense of humor, you will like this show.

Just love this show and this episode did not disappoint! Had read and seen good things about this episode and couldn't wait to see it. Of course, having bought the whole season, couldn't stop watching until I saw all of them. Absolutely LOVE the guest stars they pepper in...the CSI guy and Guillermo Del Toro as Pappy McPoyle-too funny!-Guess he owed Charlie a favor for him being in Pacific Rim. Cannot wait for season 9 and beyond!!!P.S. to the guy complaining about commercials: Did you buy through Amazon? - I did and don't have any commercials-maybe because I bought the whole season? I feel your frustration 'cause I'm an "old" broad too!

Eight years in and The Gang is, if anything, funnier than ever. I can count on one hand the number of shows that have been consistently good past their fifth season, let alone making it all the way to eight and beyond.Of course this show isn't for everyone. Dennis, Dee, Mac, Charlie and Frank are truly awful people, making the cast of Seinfeld look like saintly altruists by comparison. And the humor on the show is often crude, offensive and even disturbing. But if you liked prior seasons of Sunny you can be sure that you'll enjoy this one (and as I write this season nine is off to a great start as well).

(Girlfriend speaking!)We love Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia! Always cracks us up. This particular ep "Charlie rules the world" is particularly one of my favorite 'Charlie'-centered episodes. He finally gets the spotlight he deserves. But always seems to screw up his chances of landing a normal relationship. Just prooving each character can't live without each other. Can't help but want better for Charlie though. Also would like to add: Dennis is a pompous prick and plays it well in this ep. GIVE CHARLIE A BREAK! I seriously think Charlie is pretty intelligent despite all the illiteracy and the way the gang treats him. Im a Charlie Fan wooo!

This is absolutely the best season of It's always sunny. I've seen every episode, and I make this claim with no reservations. After a bit of a lull last season, season 8 is by far the most complex, satisfying, and sidesplitting. Danny DeVito has a soliloquy in the therapist episode that not only a command performance, but possibly the funniest thing i've seen on tv in a very long time. if you're even a slight fan of this show, do not hesitate. THIS IS A CAN'T MISS SEASON

I live for Charlie and Waitress episodes and this one is the BEST by far. Charlie is in fine form as he lets his Wild Card twistiness run the show. The ending is perfect. I'd go so far as to say this is my second favorite Charlie episode after "Kitten Mittens", of course.Spit-Take-Spoiler: Dee does the weird horking thing she does when she gets nervous early in the episode. I recommend not putting anything in your mouth for the first 10 minutes. You've been warned. :)

I enjoyed this season better then the last 2 previous season's. Just my opinion season 6 and 7 went off there usual beet by going to violent for a comedy, thankfully they went back to there original comedy.

Like most of the other reviews out there I agree this season had a couple of boring episodes (The Gang Gets Analyzed was almost unwatchable) but the rest of them completely make up for that. "The Gang Dines Out" was probably one of the top 3 funniest episodes of all time! Can't wait for Season 9.
