Extra Long 40 cm Magnetic Stir Bar Retriever - 16 inch Length - White, Teflon PTFE, Anti-Corrosive, Chemical Resistant

I use this item when I'm making yeast starters for brewing. It allows one to easily remove the magnetic stir bar from the flask, so that it doesn't end up in your fermenter. The only thing that could make this item better, would be if it was more magnetized, it removes small stir bars easily, but not quite so well with larger ones.

This stir bar retriever works pretty well. The magnet is strong to efficiently get my stir bar. It is long enough even when I use 4L flask.It works even at 200 degrees C - I have had demagnetizations issues with other products at temperature. These seem to work wellHighly recommend to lab, school or home brewing usage.

This item is okay it is Teflon coated but the magnet is not the strongest. It will not pickup any of my larger than 3/4 inch stir bars.

would prefer to have something that can snake. this is a straight stick

Does exactly what I need it to do. Get my stir bar from my yeast starters.

Wow. This magnet is so weak it doesn’t even pick up my stirrers. What a waste of money.
