I find them great. They work much better than mounting a suction ...
I've purchased this twice. I find them great. They work much better than mounting a suction cup to your windshield (which never works due to weather changes, moisture, and the curved windshield glass). I've even used the mounting disk in the summer, and the adhesive did not come off or melt in the heat (at least for me, they stayed in place). I've been using them for about 2 years now. However, follow the instructions during installation; in other words, (1) make sure to clean the area with rubbing alcohol before you put down the disc (both times I ordered this, for me at least, it came included with a pre-moistened, sealed, rubbing alcohol wipe - I didn't have to buy anything extra), and then (2) wait 24 hours after placing the disk before you actually use it to mount a device. Yes, I really did wait a full day to let the adhesive set properly on to the dashboard. Therefore, no, you can't put it down and start using it immediately that same day, if you actually want it to stay attached to your dashboard.

Worked Perfect
These are great! I actually purchased these because I have a sun shade for the rear window of my car. I bought one of those First Years shades with three suction cups along the top to keep the sun out of my daughter's face in the car, but the thing just would not stick. I tried everything. I cleaned the window and the suction cups with alcohol and moistened the cups before applying. They just would not stick. I was about to write that product off as crappy, but it occurred to me that the problem might be that defrost grid on the rear window. I ordered these disks in one last ditch attempt, because we are always driving in the direction that the sun is directly in my poor miserable kid's face. Again, I cleaned the window well with alcohol, and applied these disks directly to my rear window. I then cleaned the disks and the suction cups, moistened the cups, and stuck the shade up. It has not fallen once in the several months its been up. These were were a life saver for my shade, and my daughter!

Cheap price and effective mount
Tomtom kept falling off windshield but now kept firmly in place on dashboard.

Disk are fantastic
Here in Arizona, our law prohibits placing anything on the front window of a vehicle. Have a GPS and lost the disks? Or perhaps looking to include mounting points on other vehicles, this is your solution. The adhesive on these disks give a nice sturdy grip on vinyl or other surfaces. If your looking around the Amazon store and debating on which ones to get, as I did, confidently press the "buy now", you'll be glad you did. By the way these are large enough surfaces for suction cups you find included with modern devices.

Probably work well for some people, just didn't for me
These disks seemed to have good adhesive and probably work well if you have a good, smooth flat surface. I was on a bit of a curved surface that was kind of rough and I have a heavier GPS. These disks held for a few hours but then just kept falling. I wanted it to work but it just didn't. I would probably recommend them though if you have a better surface to stick them too

Workes great
I read all the reviews and the problem is folks are not installing it correctly and having problems that are their own fault, not the product. It must be installed on a SMOOTH surface and the surface must be CLEANED with Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol [aviable at any PARMACY] attach the disc after the alcohol has dried [less than 45 seconds]and let the disk stay un used over night [24 hours is best and warm weather is a plus]It holds my Tom Tom GPS with no problems.

not so good
It worked fine for a cross-country trip. No complaints. But eventually, the GPS quit sticking to it and would slide off at inopportune times. Peeling it off the dash (once it was no longer functional) left ugly marks (stripped away some of the finish). Not the best product I've ever had.

Great Value!
Normally this is not a product a person has to purchase since every GPS comes with its own disk. But I recently sold my car and discovered how tough the adhesive is and once these are placed it's there for good. I started out going to an electronic store that sold GPS but not extra disk. I then turned to Amazon, where I should have started my search. With the high cost of gas it would have saved me money all around. What attracted me the most was the value. I have two for the price I would pay for one disk. One for my car or another car. Or I can place one on my dashboard and one on my windsheild. I have options I never thought of having two disk. This is oversized and sturdy. Plendy of room for any and all GPS suction cups. I am pleased with my purchase. Thank you Amazon and to the vendor that made this product available.
