Refreshing scalp scrub
I use a lot of product and hairspray in my bleached hair. Sometimes my scalp needs a good scrub. I use it about 2-3 times a month. Love it.

Okay on it's own, but bennies run short if not used with rest of products
Thanks to crappy genes, I get patches of psoriasis on my scalp, especially during the summer months. I've tried way too many products to help with this, and not found one that has been a parade worthy success. While this detox scalp scrub is nice, it also doesn't knock out these annoying itchy patches.First up, the smell of this product is fabulous - apples and mint with hints of lemon and cream. If this stuff were ice cream and it tasted as good as it smelled, it would be a runaway success.Depending on how thick your hair is, it can be frustrating to work this scrub down to your scalp. Unlike a lot of other scalp scrubs I've used, this one is creamy and on the thick side, like yogurt. It's not just hydrated silica in a serum or thinner soap product that easily bypass hair to reach your scalp. This product is more like a dense hydration mask with some scrubbies thrown in for good measure. You'll need a comb or pick in the shower with you to help part your hair into small sections so you can apply this and have it effectively reach your scalp. I'm kind of disappointed at the lack of minuscule scrubbing bits in this scrub. Overall it isn't a very gritty product. Imagine taking one part of a really gritty face scrub, like ExfoliKate, and mixing it with two or three parts of your favorite conditioner. That's this scrub. It's gentle on hair and skin, and while that's great for some (especially those with super sensitive scalps), it didn't really deal with the psoriasis. Worked great on clarifying my hair since I don't use a ton of products every day, but it wasn't a great success dealing with flakes. After using this scrub, you will still need to use a shampoo and conditioner. Since this is a clarifying product, you might want to use a heavier conditioner than usual to add extra moisture to your hair and for easier detangling. I don't have trouble rinsing this from my hair since the scrubby bits are larger. Besides, rinsing after shampooing and conditioning afterwards generally takes care of any remaining bits. My husband has been using this as well to tackle oily, sweaty hair from having to wear a hardhat at work. He likes that it doesn't make his scalp burn even with daily use, and it leaves his hair and scalp feeling clean but not stripped. I have the same opinion - hair feels clean without feeling parched and my scalp isn't left feeling dry and tight. My hair feels clean and soft, rather than devoid of all moisture even if I follow up with a heavy duty conditioner. Some clarifying/detox treatments leave my hair feeling worse than dry, dead grass for weeks afterwards. It's nice to find a more gentle but effective way to reboot my hair.Overall, this is probably a better product for those who are looking for extra oomph from their regular method of getting rid of product buildup on their hair and scalp. It's not strong enough on its own to really get rid of serious flakies, be they from dandruff, psoriasis, or another scalp condition. Fekkai's claim to getting rid of 95% of visible build up is ONLY when you use this scrub as well as the shampoo and rinse. I suspect this scrub is good at loosening up the buildup and flakes, while the ACV in the shampoo and rinse help to break the final bonds of the buildup on hair shafts and scalp. On it's own, it's a nice pre-wash step, but not enough to tackle serious buildup. if you are a heavy product user almost every day, it's probably best to go ahead and get the three step system. For those who rarely use products and don't need major firepower, or who are looking for a little extra help with oily hair but don't want to strip it so much their scalp produces MORE oil, this detox scrub is really nice.

I really like this product. My scalp gets oily and build up of dry shampoo and other products and this has gentle exfoliation that made it feel really clean

Removes build up as described
The night I go to bed after i wash my hair, the irritation from itchy scalp is unbearable when I’m lying down in bed. I get so angry about it, I don’t know what it’s related to, as I don’t have dandruff or any condition that would cause this. I got this product to see if it would combat the itchiness. It has not done anything for that issue.I used it as described though i do not have the other product it tells me to use, i have often used regular Apple Cider Vinegar successfully as a rinse, and proprietary ACV rinsing products. For the purposes of this product, i just used my regular apple cider vinegar, as a rinsing agent. And my hair was squeaky clean, so for removal of product buildup - yes, it definitely worked for that. Though how much of that is down to this product, and how much to a regular cheap bottle of apple cider vinegar used after washing my hair i cannot say.But immediately after using, my scalp feels fine. My hair looks nice and bouncy, with volume. It just did nothing for the itching that i experience on the night that I’ve washed my hair.

Hair scrub
I've tested many hair scrubs in my life but this one takes the cake. If you are concerned it this will leave residue of leave your hair oily -- it won't. You'll only need to use it once a week and your hair will feel the healthiest and cleanest its ever been. Truly a great way to reset your scalp!

Excellent product ! But expensive in these difficult times for most people.
This was to experience in trying it out as I have never bought a scalp scrub before and I know I needed to do it now because of my hair being very thin and seemed to continue to thin ! So, I decided on this product and I was very happy I did, it made my scalp feel very fresh and calm, it is something I will continue to use for a while to see how I can improve the condition of my very fine hair.

Not worth the money
I only got 2 uses out of this tiny container, first time I used it, I went 3 days without an itchy scalp. 2nd time I used it, it did not work as well.
