A pretty good kalimba, but maybe not the best choice for your first one.
I was hoping to find a round acrylic kalimba with 21 keys, but this was the only acrylic one I could find at all that had 21 instead of 17. It arrived out of tune and with all the tines slanted to the left (like ///// instead of ||||| ) so it took me a little while to get everything where it should be. There was also a bit of residue on a few places and the finish is a bit off on one of the tines. The residue cleaned right off and the tine plays just fine, so it's cosmetic. That said:PROS- It has a nice, solid feel while playing. The placement of the cat ears makes it easy to rest your fingers against them for support.- The sound is clear and dreamy with a long sustain. Definitely the most "music box" sounding kalimba.- So far it's held the tuning quite well even after extended play time and travel.CONS- For some it may be a little too heavy to play for long periods, especially if you have joint pains already.- The extra keys make the instrument wider, so it may be awkward for those with smaller hands.- It comes prepared to be played in the key of F Major (sticker notes/numbers align to that key). I re-tuned mine to C Major by raising the Bb keys to B, but there are no stickers to adjust for this and you have to keep a mental note of the change because your numbers won't line up for tabs.Overall I'm happy with it. If you plan to play songs on it that are meant for a 17-key kalimba, you may have to get creative with some of your crossovers but it's completely doable.

Cheap for Beginners with Small Hands or Kids
The sound is great and nice with a more pitchy sounding than other instruments, and the cost is good enough for the quality to be at it's reasonable price. Although it is to small for me but my little sister seems to enjoy it and so I have given it to her instead.Pros: Good price, Beginner friendly, and Good soundingCons: On the small side, and may sound quieter than other instruments including other kalimbas

No Dead Tines.
First of all, I love the size. It's perfect for my larger hands. Also, I love the weight. it is heavier than a hollow or flatboard kalimba. All the engraved keys sound great, even the very high ones. It is somewhat quieter than other kalimba's. This works great when I'm playing while my wife watches her cooking shows. I have many kalimba's (It's a sickness ๐คฃ) but this is the one that is usually sitting next to me. I would say that it is every bit as good as my LingTing 21 key.

Beautiful
This is limbs is a beautiful creation. The size is not too large and it has a music box sound I wish it were a bit louder and didn't collect fingerprints so easily. Also I took a star off because the box the makings came in was damaged luckily the instrument wasn't I would consider buying again

Fun but 2 dead keys.
The media could not be loaded. ย Tons of fun but it came with two dead keys. One is better than the other but the high e is completely useless. All of the other keys are good and sound Amazing.

Delightful music with a charming shape.
After listening to many kalimba videos, I decided on this one because to me, it has just the right soothing, twinkling, and pleasant pitch and sound that I was looking for. I was pleased to see that this kalimba wasn't as thick as I thought it might be (no shape shaming intended, hold your triggers), I was worried it would be too heavy or thick for my small hands. The set comes with everything for a beginner to learn how to play and has a cleaning rag to keep it looking its best.I love the reactions I've received while playing this, mainly because it has made people smile and in some cases, calmed those that are stressed. Thank you, Treelf, for making such an enchanting little musical instrument!

new acrylic rainbow Treelf that is different from the clear acrylic version
The media could not be loaded. ย A new rainbow acrylic 21 tine from Treelf. CONS: Not using the same tine quality as on the clear acrylic models. Tines can create a buzz sound if plucked too firmly because they are thinner and flexible. Tines have a narrow stamp and could be difficult to see when playing, as rainbow effect bounces off. Does not come with additional note/number stickers. A marking pen works better. Eva case is thinner and can be gently depressed, but provides better protection than just a cloth bag. Information booklet with songs is for those that play using the tablature method but should be easy to learn the simple songs.PROS: Kalimba is well constructed and comfortable to hold and reach all of the tines for medium sized hands. Because acrylic is heavier than wood, it is not recommended to play for lengthy periods. Could be uncomfortable for wrists. The depth is slimmer than the clear acrylic versions. The body is smooth with gently rounded edges. As shown in the photos there is a nice amount of hologram rainbow streaks. Tine are smooth and have rounded gently sloping tips which are comfortable to play. The sound produced is the usual softness but is brighter for an acrylic. Pitch sustain is adequate and tine placement is even for striking multiple notes such as a glide or glissando. Not too much distance between or crowding of the tines. When tuning because of the tine flexibility, the pitch may easily go to a sharp # but will settle back to the proper note. There is a trade off between the regular clear 17k and 21k and the new rainbow versions. The main differences being the lesser tine quality of the rainbow and the moderately thicker body and more weight of the clear models. If you want some color bling and a pleasant sound, then this kalimba is the one to consider. Treelf has reversed the cat and bear so that those whom already have the clear acrylic version will have a different shape.

Not as I expected
Not what I expected.I bought this because someone recommended this saying it has similar tines to Lingting (soft and easy to press). And also because the photos provided by the seller and the reviews say that there are no engravings or markings on the tines. When the kalimba came, the tines are definitely not what I expected and they have rather sloppy stamp markings (they're not engraved, more like stamped? printed?)! Seriously though, the markings don't even look uniform. Some look lighter than the rest. Also, the tines are a nail killer. They are the hardest to press tines amongst all the kalimbas I own. I don't know why my Treelf is different than the ones in the reviews... :(HOWEVER, there are no dead, buzzing, or stiff tines. The sound is CRYSTAL CLEAR. The kalimba is heavy, even for an acrylic (it's the heaviest acrylic, and even kalimba that I own). But I don't find this an issue. Also, it's cute. There's a noticeable scratch on the body but it is thankfully right below the tines so you don't notice it when you're playing. But it can be seen on the other side.

Wonderful Sound
The media could not be loaded. ย It is very crisp and sounds different than the normal wood kalimbas. I played it and it actually sounds better in reality. My only complaint is that I needed to adjust 18-19 keys out of 21 because most of them were out of tone when arrived

Beautiful!!!
I absolutely love the tone of this. Itโs not loud but itโs so delicate in sound. All note resonate beautifully. The sound is clean and soft. I also have a hollow body to compare it to. Itโs so beautiful. Absolutely no regrets. Hard to put it down.
