Pegasus
Great book! It started on the run from the start. A fast read that kept you on the edge of your seat. I would even let my kids read this story. I loved the real-life connectedness with mount Olympus and both Greek and Roman names mixed in. It was clever and I'm excited to check out the next one.

Horrible
Ok, I'm back. This book is about Roman Mythology and how a girl bonds with Pegasus. At the same time, there's a mystery to it. The Flame of Olympus is about Roman God's who fight things called Nereids, four armed stone things that are killing machines. Meanwhile, a government unit is searching for Pegasus. Why am I being nice about this? This sucked. For one, this girl, Emily, is all about trying to get Pegasus to safety. While people will admire it, the last thing we need is a girl calling a horse “Pegs" and hugging the stupid horse. Pegasus has nothing special about him, he can only fly. Take away his saddle, and he's useless. The Nereids were the real threat in this book, and they were only in the book for like, two chapters. The CRU seemed to be a family of federal lunatics, and they were so close minded, they thought that the Olympians were aliens. You never see the Olympians, and the only cool person was Palen. If I were to summarize Emily's p.o.v. in three sentences, it would be: "Oh, Pegs, I love you. I won't let let that government man take you. I wish I could help, but I'm completely and utterly useless, and now I lost my leg, woe is me!!!" Emily... SHUT UP!!! Kate, this book was terrible and I'm trashing your next book tommorow.

STUNNING
You absolutely MUST read this series!!!!! It is INCREDIBLE and you will NOT be able to put it down. It is about a girl named Emily who one night finds Pegasus on her roof! Together with a boy named Joel she has to stop these four armed creatures called the Nirads before they take over Manhatten. Anyone who gave this series less than five stars is COMPLETELY WRONG BECAUSE THIS SERIES IS AWESOOOOOME!!!!! One billion stars from me!!!

Good basic story children/early teens will like
This was a very nice start to a new series. It's uncomplicated, pure fun, and pretty easy reading for the audience designated. As an adult, I still enjoyed it. The action was fast-paced, but uncomplicated, and the ending was a little surprising. I debated between a 4 and a 5 rating, but decided on the 4. There is nothing at all wrong with the book, but I didn't consider it an ultimate 5 fabulous. I do recommend it for children who like the Greek hero stories, and there are definitely some interesting things that make it unique among those books. Well worth the price and the time.

Love this book
I love this book so much. I read it for the first time in 5th grade, I'm now in 9th grade and this is still one of my favorite books. It is well written and stays close enough to the myths but also still very interesting.

Fantasy Adventure
Just finished this book and I really enjoyed it. This is the story of thirteen year old Emily and how her life is turned upside down when the magical Pegasus lands on the roof of the apartment where she lives. In the midst of a New York blackout Emily must try to save the injured Pegasus and workout why he is in New York and why nowhere is safe. Emily enlists the help of Joel a difficult boy from school and realises that they have more in common than they would have ever realised as they tell each other about their lives whilst trying to keep Pegasus and themselves safe from danger. The story is fairly fast paced and gripping, the characters are soon on the run both from the evil Nirads who want to kill both Emily and Pegasus, and more interestingly but perhaps as evil the CRU, a secret government agency. This book mixes modern life with characters from Roman mythology, Pegasus, Jupiter, Diana, Apollo etc. and makes an exciting mixture of the two as Emily and Joel are entrusted with saving both their own world and Olympus from the Nirads.I enjoyed the inclusion of the CRU as it made for an interesting section in the book as the characters are waylaid by this strange and awful organisation. This was a good adventure story that I would definitely recommend. If you enjoyed the mythology side of the Percy Jackson books then you'll enjoy this as well. The book has a few unanswered questions but does have an appropriate ending so no nasty cliffhanger, looking forward to the sequel.

Good book
I bought this book to try on the Kindle and also because it had been a while since I had had a new book/story to read. Took a chance on these and was glad I did. I enjoyed the story so much I went and bought the other books in the series. I don't know if these are meant for children, adults or both as it is about a young girl's journey/adventures but I am definitely an adult and enjoyed reading them. Recommend.

Best book EVER !!!!!
This book is the absolute best thing I have ever read.💜 The excitement, the suspension just makes the book even more exciting than it already is. I would recommend this book to anyone over 8 years due to the fact that there are a few gruesome moments which I personally think would not be suitable for themI hope you read this book as soon as you can!🙌

Bravery Beyond
This has been a good read. Using the Olympian Myths, a young girl and a boy with a set of monsters to fight and to bring back the Flame of Olympus. You also have a government agency that is ruthless. A good introduction to Pegasus and his amazing abilities to fly, fight and be ridden what else is needed?

Roman mythology in NYC?
Kind of gripping- but also just really bizarre. You need to like fantasy to be able to appreciate this story!! It is roman mythology meets drama in NYC.
