Sigma 20Mm F/2 DG DN Contemporary Lens for Sony E Mirrorless, (490965), Black

This is my 3rd I series lens & the design & handling is very tactile. Joy to use the lens. As a 20mm it is a premium compact UW lens. Though it weighs only a little less than the excellent sony lens, its dimensions are more compact - including the front element. Hence it is very well balanced on the camera. I use it on the 61mp sony a7r4 camera & has excellent contrast, sharpness & resolution. There is however a lot of barrel distortion - fixable in software in and out of camera. CA is well controlled & vignetting is manageable. Its MFD and magnification is not the best unlike the tamron 1:2 macro. However its AF and handling is what makes this lens a joy to use.

Light weight, but its pictures are real sharp and the f/2.0 lets you keep them nice and bright without relying too much on ISO. I like a light, travel-friendly bag so this goes so perfectly on my A7C. They're an excellent combo that let you work with some very capable gear that doesn't also put the pain to your shoulders, arms, or neck at the end of the day.I really like the convenient magnetic cap too. Nice convenient touch.
