Stretchy, soft, but definitely measure your couch first!
This is VERY stretchy and I would say also very durable too (overall). I measured the couch sections prior to ordering and knew that one side would be longer than the description/material said it could stretch to. So I pretty much knew what to expect, a potentially challenging time getting the fabric to cover one side, and I was right! One section was very easy to make fit on the couch. In fact there was even a little extra material to work with, everything tucked nicely. The second section, the larger section, was very difficult to work with and the material would not stay tucked, in fact would not tuck in at all, making it look like a sheet. The foam pieces were light and even on the other section with enough material and space would not really stay in place (when sitting and moving around). So, we decided to use a stapler, getting the material stapled to the wood frame of the couch, to get the material to stay in place. In a way I suppose I essentially reupholstered it, but it was the only way to get everything to really stay in place and not look like a sheet on the larger section. I mentioned overall durability earlier in the review because with using the staples, the tool jammed a couple points and hadn’t stuck to the wood, which in turn put a few holes in the fabric (understandable) but the remedy for that was just re-stapling the material in place which hid any mistakes in that regard. It was quite a process but worth it! The reason I was so determined to make it work was because we had a fake leather couch that was deteriorating, this covers that and turned out not too bad. Also, we started by aligning where the instructions suggested, finding the back of the couch, tucking where we could, and then flipping the couch sections over and we honestly used staples at the bottom too to get the fabric to stay on the bottom of the couch. The ties were useless for the larger couch we have, they didn’t really meet to tie anyway, and it created a sturdy foundation to work from, and left no drooping material under the couch. I will say despite being very stretchy (and we really pushed the limit on the fabric guidelines lol) it is just lightly opaque looking in some brighter lights, even on the couch section that had plenty of material to tuck in (which may be viewable through my review photos). Our couch is red underneath so I’m sure a darker or lighter neutral color wouldn’t be able to really be seen. But that’s nothing some pillows and blanket draping can’t hide. Overall awesome. My difficulties with the product were anticipated since the couch was longer than the recommended measurements/size. Definitely measure your couch sections before buying, and if you’re like me and want to try to make it work regardless or wing it, you can get crafty and bust out the stapler/tacker (obv that method works best if your couch also has a wood frame that you can feel/find to pin material to).

Perfect
Disclaimer: I wasn't influenced in any way to give 5 stars, this is my honest review. Our faux leather couch was destroyed with tiny shreds of leather peeling and getting all over the house. I tried everything to fix it so our german shepherd pup won't tear it up, including furniture tape (do not recommend) and nothing worked until this.It was surprisingly easy to put on the couch and I was worried it wouldn't fit because of how wide our armrests are, but it has great stretch and easily wrapped around the entire couch. There's a couple lumps you can see, but that's only from blankets underneath that were previously taped on and wouldn't come off.Only cons are - i'm not excited to get this thing off to clean it, and the little foam pieces are great, but may need to be pushed back into place sometimes. Other than that, I love it !!

Read if you’re a cat owner
After spending an hour and almost giving up and returning the product, I finally figured out how to put it on. There are no instructions or indications to let you know which cover is which, you just have to figure it out. It’s going to look really dumb until you put the foam inserts in. I bought this for my 3 cats as within a week they managed to destroy our new leather couch. I was hoping for something thicker to prevent their claws from scratching the leather, but it’s very thin so I don’t have much hope. The couch is already destroyed though, so it doesn’t matter at this point. However after just 1 night, the material has already attracted an insane amount of cat hair. A lint roller works well on the material but will be very tedious to maintain.
