I was worried before starting this...
My son and I have both loved the previous two books in the trilogy and we were a little bit worried reading the intro to this that it would be a lot of Lad wallowing around in self-pity, guilt etc.We should not have been worried. There is a bundle of character development across the board and yet the story just grabs you and doesn't allow you to put the book down (at all) - I took a morning off work and my son a day off school just to finish this. There is plenty of action, some very cool new characters are introduced and you also have the pleasure of seeing old favourites move on with things and actually grow as people. This was so good and leaving us so bereft when we finished that we started on Mr Jackson's Scimitar Seas series, set in the same world, and have been just as enamoured with those. What a fantastic author. I feel almost guilty being able to buy these for the price of a coffee, but am happy that the money is going to him and not a publishing company. WELL worth picking up.

Did not fail to entertain!
This book picks right up where the last one ended and boy let me tell you, it Delivered! Mya and Lad headed to the capital, Tsing, on the trail of Wiggens killer and to face off with the darkest of foes. Great fight scenes and excellent writing made this book 3 of the weapon of flesh trilogy the best by far! Wizards, assassins, and royalty combine in an ending that will have you reading well into the night! A strong two thumbs up from me and a definite must read for those who enjoy reading the weapon of flesh books.

By far the best out of the weapon of flesh trilogy
By far the best out of the weapon of flesh trilogy. I cant say how much I enjoyed going on this adventure with Lad and am sad to see it end. Although it sounds like there will be a continuation of the books it seems that they will be primarily focused around Mya. Although she was a great Co-Star I cant imagine an entire book focused around her, I would be missing Lad the whole time. This was an excellent series, great character development and an all around amazing story. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes cloak and dagger books, subtle magic, assassin plots and world building books. Great job Chris Jackson, I hope to see more like themed books from you...

Good book read them in order though!!
I have to say the grand master assassin surprises me in who it was lad and may have definitely grown as characters but lad still seemed to 'be hopelessly naive at times but yet it fits in a frustrating way, I'm glad it was lots of actions and details I don't want to give away spoilers but after awhile you just have to know what's going to happen next I figured it would only be 3 books I was ecstatic that it would be another after this in the summer!! Keep writing Mr Chris A Jackson and people start buying.

Mr Jackson hits a grandslam once again!
I bought the book when it first came out, forced myself to not read it for a week. I wish I waited longer, just finished reading it at 5:00AM today. Once again a fantastic read. I get so immersed into the story that all around me evaporates. I truly enjoy reading Mr. Jackson's novels. I do have one grievance, he does not have a clone or two. I would love to have a book of his to read as soon as I finish the last.Great job once again!!!

a good conclusion
Again, a little more action throughout would be more my taste, but that's just not his style. The book is short enough to where you don't get bored during the build up, though, and the ending was really good. I enjoyed the epilogue as well. Bottom line is the whole series is worth reading.

Bad grammar good story
First of all, there some bad grammar errors. Third book in a series shouldn't be that bad. As for story itself, I'm not sure. It started dark. Got better, got dark again and then the ending was totally unexpected. Didn't really like how he did the big bad. Still recommend though.

Escapism
The third book featuring Lad as a conflicted human/weapon tells me that the trilogy will continue with who knows how many additional chapters. I will be there for all of them. Jackson"s universe is relatively small covering only a few cities on the planet's surface. But we find a vast selection of both good a d bad enforcers to stir the adventure. Jackson's world makes me forget my problems.

Great trilogy,mediocre ending
Firstly, the 4 star rating given is for the trilogy and would receive 4.5 if possible although this 3rd book is about a 3.5. The way Lad struggles to cope with the tragedies he's encountered is well written and believable,as well as Myas own emotional struggles. As in the previous 2 books the fight scenes are brilliantly written. The last 3rd of Weapon of Vengeance however feels rushed with the odd stray word or spelling mistake,"Wiggin" instead of "Wiggen" for example. In the Grandmaster, the potential for a memorable character was there but came across as a copy of the Grandfather from the 1st book and I felt more could have been done him. Despite me maybe being a bit picky on these points the story told across 3 books is a great read and would recommend them to fans of assassin style fantasy.

Nice, but not big!
A nice way to end the series, but not too surprising; plot not complicated. In summary a nice book, but not of epic proportions.

I loved these books the end was a little deflating however the story line was nice a couple of little simple twists but over all a fun read highly recommend

good finish
I read this trilogy in one hit which is always the beat way if you ask me, it's good set if a bit predictable but if you like a world of intrigue and assassins then this is the one for you

Best yet!
Best of the series yet! I couldn't put it down. A bunch of loose ends are tied up but definitely room for more great stories.
