I use a Bialetti moka every morning for years. I grind my own beans. I definitely qualify as a coffee snob. Thus, I admit that I was skeptical before purchasing this. Could a high-tech contraption like this really make espresso that tastes like espresso?Lo and behold, it works PERFECTLY. Delicious espresso every time I've used it. It is perfect for use on vacation or in your garden or anywhere else where there is no stove or outlet. You can even charge it in your car, so when you arrive at your destination, it is ready to go.The directions are clear; if you follow them carefully, the machine will work perfectly each time.One caveat, however. The directions leave out one small but crucial point. At the final step, you cannot leave the machine in the cup (which does not snap or screw in). If you do, nine times out of ten the machine will rise up out of the cup and the espresso will spill everywhere. You simply have to hold the machine over the cup. It's a minor point that has nothing to do with how the machine itself works (and for me it has worked perfectly every time). But before figuring that point out, I made quite a few messes!However when I brought it to the company's attention, their customer service COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER. Before we determined what the problem was, they sent me a new machine, no questions asked. Both machines work absolutely perfectly. (I bet I am the only reviewer here that has used TWO machines and can attest that BOTH work perfectly!)Note: I have never used capsules. This machine works for fresh ground coffee (which I use) or capsules. Not having used capsules I personally cannot attest to how well they work -- however all the other reviews consistently say that they do. The carrying case has enough room to pack some capsules. So if you're looking for a machine that can make espresso cleanly and with no mess, you could do no better than this machine.

i have an old version of this from just a few months ago —- The capsule container won’t open. - you need to close this tight so it doesn’t leak- and i’ve been doing it fine for months -suddenly it’s stuck and i can’t open it at all- and i’ve tried everything to open it but it won’t budge - even waiting for weeks to let it extra cool down (when it leaked and gets super hot it expands and is hard to close)anyway i bought a new one end of sept 2022 and i see the new one is updated!!!! i don’t know why they don’t mention it on this page but it’s definitely different - the capsule holder now has ridges which makes opening and closing easier - the feel is secure and feels more solid in material as you screw it’s on- - no leak at all/ very simple and reliable - i’ve used it weeks now and it doesn’t have all the issues as before with leakage and sensitivity as to how to close it. It was a big pain before but not it’s been very consistent and reliable - and easy to usei’m scared over time this one will stop working also though/ only time will tell but it seems the manufacturer understands there was issues and improved on it greatly which is awesome because when it works it is an amazing product- i keep trying to stick with this product because i want to buy them as gifts for my staff and clients but i can’t when it’s not reliable -i was able to get a refund on the old one - i think since it was before one year - and it was defective. so i feel confident now in this purchase and just pray it will last a year at least but hopefully longer of courseit’s wonderful for travel or on the road - i’ve been using it at home also but i will get an actual home machine soon because i want this one to last as long as possible. it’s really a blessing for coffee obsessed on the go person like me

Update: After writing a review about the issues I had, seller contacted me and sent a new one within a few days. Only kept it at 4 stars because of the hassle of having to write a review to get service. However, the new one did come with a “contact us” card so maybe they are trying to do better. Would recommend this product!Original: This worked awesome for about 6 months, but then it stopped working altogether. It just beeps and does nothing. Unfortunately there is no support available and the company seems to exist only on Amazon. $130 for 6 months of use is definitely disappointing.

The first unit I ordered would not consistently complete extraction with the Starbucks pods that I purchased. So I returned it and asked for a replacement. The second unit arrived in 48 hours. I bought a lb. of espresso fine ground Starbucks coffee so I could use the attachment for ground coffee. I watched videos of how to properly use the unit. I made sure the battery was full power. I tried packing the pod full of espresso roast. I tried packing it lightly. I tried packing it with a more coarse grind. Nothing worked. Sometimes it would take 6 or 7 repeats of extraction, and then it would barely dispense half the water. I really, really tried hard to get it to work. I really wanted to like it. When it would work (1 out 5 times) it made a great cup of espresso. However, it's just too damn frustrating and it won't work for me in my Motorhome. The beeping would drive my wife crazy as she is not a coffee drinker. I will continue to use my French Press.

When this works, it produces a great cup of nespresso. However, most of the time when using with pods, the pump fails to penetrate the foil of the pod and nothing comes out/water spits from the side even when adapter very tight. The battery can barely warm one heating cycle before getting the battery too low beeps, even though the lights show at least two stars. I wish this was a more reliable unit, as when it works, it’s great!Update September 2023. The seller contacted me when he saw my review and immediately went out of his way to see what he could do. We were unable to resolve my current product issues and he immediately sent me a new one. What great customer service from Tim! The new product is updated and is working as advertised.

The media could not be loaded.  It works perfectly fine as described, but the 10 times beeping sound when the hot water is ready and the noise while forcing the water through can be annoying and disturbing if you try to make it in a quite space like library.However I still recommend it as it functions flawlessly and takes less than 10 mins to provide you with a hot shot of espresso.Also works during charging process.I’ve been using each capsule twice and haven’t experienced any issues so far.Make sure that you remove the cup before the coffee being poured in it, otherwise it spills out.

Almost same profile as an air freshener…. can use capsule……Water reservoir is big enough and water boils in 5 mins to 85+deg-c…………item also comes with carrying case….. only issue I have with item is item is a bit too expensive…. Another $30SGD can buy cheapest nespresso machine

The media could not be loaded.  Can't find charging So notify the seller get a new machine fast Easy to use and very good especially the hot water boiler system Or use a little more warm water to boil for quick coffee brewing.

I think this is a great little machine. It looks great and it makes good shots with a nice crema. I haven't used it with pods because I don't really like pod coffee. I use a portable 12v ceramic burr grinder by LUME, which I would also recommend. The only downside is that if your making 3 double shot coffees it'll take a while, but I think that is unavoidable with this type of system. If you used pods, that wouldn't be an issue.
