Excellent phone!
At first after reading the reviews I was hesitant to purchase this phone until I saw a few other positive reviews and decided to go for it. I've had this phone for a few months now and I still haven't encountered an issue yet. Delivery was quite good and it arrived quick and safely. The phone appeared to be in excellent condition upon opening the box and everything was working very well. I originally had a Samsung s8+ which had lasted me a few years until I decided to upgrade to the s22 ultra and everything is better. Battery life is quite solid and lasts throughout the day without any kind of battery saver on, screen is very good and supports 120hz which was new to me as the s8+ did not have a 120hz screen, Its a fast phone and loads everything quickly and efficiently and in my experience, the camera was extremely good and it takes crisp and clear images. Other than that its quite a solid phone and does the job well.

Why the hate??
As soon as I got my phone on the 24th of April, I installed the big software update. I haven't experienced any of the issues I've read about. The camera is amazing, no lag or freezing, phone signal is great everything is just fantastic, so where does the hate come from? People who had earlier patches it seems. Its unfortunate the phone was released in a state where people were having problems, but it seems they have all been sorted.OK, I upgraded from an S20, and this phone is HUGE. The camera is fantastic, even though YouTube videos have you comparing zoomed in photos with the USA version, but I've taken some fantastic photos with this device and it is amazing.I don't game on phone so can't really comment on that. The screen though, OMG, this screen is amazing. I don't usually watch films on a phone but I started watching Free Guy and ended up watching the entire film. So cool to have a film capable device that has HDR.Speakers are really good for a phone, got this connected to my watch and earbuds with ease.So if you stop obsessing over the tech reviews and just use the phone in real world scenarios, your gonna love this phone.

Genuinely quite disappointed for a flagship
So I've come from a 3.5yr old mate 20pro, and to be honest, I'm a bit disappointed. OK so.... photos are quite good so that's the bit where there is a leap. The phone is quite slow switching between apps, it only has 8gb Ram, which is poor considering the 4yr old mate 20 Pro had the same. It lags when switching between apps quite often for me. This is big tech firms trimming spec on the flagships to try and keep the price lower and make more money, but you know what.... spending this much on a phone you expect it to be fast and a very good phone. I found out the 256gb version has more RAM after buying. Finger print reader isn't perfect, they'd be better off putting it on the side like some others do.The battery does last at least a day, which is positive. Battery charging can be fast if super charge is enabled else its quite slow. Its not a bad phone by any means, but I have to say, you can still buy a mate20 Pro for under £400 today, and to be honest I'd say that's a better buy, pound for pound, by far the best phone I ever had....Further update, after 14months the usb-c port is now very sensitive and sometimes the phone doesn't charge. The issue is the port in the phone rather than the wire too.... always charged on a flat surface, never pulled or tugged. No point trying to claim warranty, been here before. Dropping further to 1 star now.

Great phone - Okay battery life (at first!)
I am moving from an iPhone 12 to the S22 Ultra. Why? I fancied a change, I'd been bogged down by how restrictive iOS is and couldnt wait to get my hands on an android device. The phone is great - Amazing build quality, the S Pen is suprisingly handy, and overall its a wonderful experience. Then, theres the battery. Which, if im honest about, was slightly dissapointing. Now, that being said, after owning the phone for a few days, it has started to improve after a few settings changed and the phone has had some time to learn my habbits. Fingers crossed it gets even better, from what ive seen on reddit it takes a few weeks to learn.Overall, id highly reccomend this phone.

Good purchase
I know absolutely nothing about this phone techy wise, way over my head. What I do know is, it's easy to set up, easy to use and the little pen thingy works to make notes on the screen and then they get saved. I don't do that facebooky thing or other social media stuff so can't comment but if does all I ask of it and lots in reserve. Good camera and easy to edit pictures. Calls are clear and volume good even for my deaf ears. Internet is fast and so is charging. The biggest downside I can see is it's always putting apps into long term sleep that I do occasionally use like YouTube and its always wanting to do updates. Nice though, I'd have another.

Quality product at a great price.
This brilliant phone fails to impress me. It does everything I need and much more and gets better with every update.

Superb phone
My old Galaxy S8 was starting to jam a bit and the battery was running down too quickly. I decided to take the plunge and upgrade to the new S22 Ultra. I found it on Amazon much cheaper than anywhere else. It arrived the next day (the usual excellent service). The functions are very much the same as my S8 - so I've not had to spend hours working out what to do! The phone looks great is just what I wanted with superb features.
