Tried to get them to slide on to the T-bar, but the hook ends are too narrow. Does anyone else have that issue? Standard commercial drop down ceilings

What is the dimension of the hook? How large of dowel would it hold?

What size grommet will the hook end fit? I would like to hang banners from the ceiling.
