Passable With Many Faults
Like others who have reviewed this book, I'm confused about the five star ratings. I found this book dull to begin and entirely too slow paced with little substance to the plot. There are some books that are fast paced because of their active protagonist but this book has Oceane who is so passive, everything she does becomes bland.I also didn't understand why the entire book was spent on a love triangle that made little sense. Spoiler: You can't fall in love with someone after a few days! But that is what happens. There was also the issue with Corin being a far more interesting character that even the main protagonist which dulled the relationship between Oceane and Laen. Why would the author spend more time building up the interaction and chemistry between Oceane and Corin only to have her end up with Laen? I don't know.I first bought this thinking it was going to be like Gena Showalter or Grace Draven's books but that far from it. Don't know if I'll read the next two books despite liking Corin's character. I just feel so dubious about the writing.

Where have you been all my life?
Once you pick it up you can't put it down. I started with the Kindle edition after reading it elsewhere online but decided I needed it in paperback for when I travel.

Read it! Especially if you've read the Wattpad Verison
I read this book when it first popped up on Wattpad, and I must say, the published version of the book is absolutely amazing! ;-)There is so much more to it that just drags you into the universe, and gives you much better insight into the characters and their motivations. It's definitely worth buying. The land of the Fae is just so fascinating, and Madam Leech has created a world that I can't wait to dive back into with the sequel that comes out next month. (Oh, the wait is just killing me here!)It's an excellent book, especially if you're a fan of Elves, and Faeries and magic, and ridiculously suave men. :PAaaah! It's just amazing. :-)

Perfect!
I have read all Emma's stories on Wattpad and was super excited for this new and updated version of The Dark Prince! I was not disappointed!! It answered so many questions and helped clarify the original version. I love everything paranormal so the world that Emma has created is my favorite place to escape to. You also get a little mystery and some great romance. And you can't help but love Corin even if you hate him! I highly recommend this book and all world by Emma! You will love being in this magical world!
