 These solar lights are very good. They charge during the day when they are off and turn dimly on at night if nothing pass across of it. But if someone/something pass in front of it the motion detection is activated and the sim light goes to the brightest mode. The motion detection works even in total darkness. The solar panel if placed such that it gets sun light during the day it will power the light through out the night. The lights are pretty bright given their size.

These are AMAZING lights! We have used them on our shed, stairs on the deck and fence. I do not have anything bad to say.

Light is very bright, unfortunately one of them is not working anymore..
