After watching Anthea's TV show, i had to get her books.. and gave them as a gift for my newly bride friend and my other friend. after reading this amazing book, i wished that there was a DVD version of it. It has such great tips and info. along with many simple recipes. The book would be perfect if there were photos. Yet,it's Highly Recomended.

Not what I expected. Fun information but light on content and more about recipes. I was looking for encouragement and practical advice.

I love all the great ideas and recipes. Will be doing this for Cheistmas this year! She provides great ideas for getting organized and English recipes

This book gave simple, helpful and fun advice to it's readers. I learned a lot and was entertained all throughout. Great guide!

I'm disappointed after reading such great reviews. The book is mostly a recipe book with meal plans for different types of meals such as breakfast, brunch, buffet, tea, supper, formal dinner, BBQ, etc. The recipe measurements are in grams and ounces not cups and teaspoons which was also a downer for me personally. I was hoping for more on "entertaining" not just someone's collection of personal favorite recipes.

When I was preparing to get married, I realized that since I lived at my parents house and never entertained my own friends in my own house, I might need a little help! I purchased this as a kindle book after reading other amazon reviews. For the most part, this book delivers tips and guidance on how to entertain. There are parts of narrative that go on a little long, but I get that it sets the "tone" of the book, so I was O.K. with that. I would recommend this book to those who have not entertained larger groups or those who would like to refine their skills and learn a thing or two on the subject.

This book is a fun read, I accidentally purchased it twice and gave the other away as a gift which my friend is enjoying.

This was entertaining, interesting, but I don’t think I have ever wanted to live up to being a perfect housewife. But I am glad I bought it, maybe it may still improve my technique. Thanks.

As with all Anthea's books, you need to just pick out the bits that apply to your circumstances. Having said that it is a good read and some of her ideas are very good.
