Pleased with the protection
I am a beginner at welding and it seemed like overkill to purchase a specialized jacket. Especially since I am doing the welding at my local Makerspace and will probably only don it a handful of times in a year. I've used it a few times and have changed my mind. No burns and my arms aren't covered with debris after welding and grinding. It helps my confidence and I can concentrate laying down a good bead instead of worrying if I'm going to get burnt. It is a lot thicker than a regular shirt, but not as thick as canvas. I feel hotter when I first put it on, but once I start welding and grinding I don't notice it. My shirt is not soaked when I take it off. It has two snaps at the neck closure and two at the wrist closures. There are also two tabs with snaps on it on the lower back, one on the left and one on the right, to take the material in to bring it closer around the stomach. I normally wear a large shirt but ordered this in XL. That was a good decision. I can cross my arms over my chest and and the sleeves do not ride up. Someone in the shop who wears XL (and sometimes XXL) shirts couldn't get his arms into the jacket (tight across the shoulders.)The care instructions are to wash in cool water with no bleach or softeners and to hang dry away from the sun to protect the flame retardant treatment. It also says to replace after 50 washing. With a $25 purchase price, if I wash it after each use, I can live with 50 cents a use. Not like I am going to wash it each time I weld anyway.I do feel a bit self conscious wearing this (red flames and all) while the more experienced welders are going at it in T-shirts. But I am also a firm believer in protecting myself while working.Bottom line is I am satisfied with my purchase. It keeps me from getting burned, I am not covered with debris after welding, it doesn't make me feel suffocated, and it doesn't restrict my motions. I will definitely purchase this again if this one every wears out.

Fits well plus gives you a professional look
Rather than wear a cotton long sleeve shirt that wasn't as thick and would burn through if a spark landed just right, I opted for this jacket and it's worth the money. The long collar is nice as it keeps sparks out of your neck area. The material is heavy duty and I've washed it many times so far. It's also thin enough during warm days of high 60s that you won't get too hot and thick enough that you can wear it over a t shirt working in the 30s and be comfortable. The temperature range might be different for comfort with someone else as each person is different. Will recommend this as a must have if you fabricate often.

Best jacket for an all day Tig welder! (My opinion)
I like that it fits loose and doesn’t retain heat in the summer time. Snaps on all the arms and sides so if you like snugger fit the option is there. I don’t really use the pockets at all but I like that collar has a strap to stay closed. The important thing that makes it the best in my opinion is that it’s black. We have all worn the green PPE clothing and it’s so bright you just stare at yourself in your lens all day. I just ordered my 3rd one from Amazon and I wear them everyday for about 8-10 months before they are falling apart.

Sized more like a shirt, strong clasps
I found this jacket just a little tighter than I'd hoped. Others said they were over 6' and well into the 200s pound-wise and it was roomy for them. At 5'11'' and 205 lbs, I was hoping to be comfy with it on over my t-shirts, but it's a bit tight. I can still wear it that way, but if you're looking to use it as a coat, buy yet another size higher. On the other hand, I have found the quality good. The snaps are very sturdy and hold it securely closed. There is a stiff collar with a dedicated snap to protect your neck, and the arms were roomy but not baggy. The flame pattern is a cheap vinyl-like coating which will definitely wash off in the laundry, but who cares?I'm sure that professional welders would burn these up quickly, but for an amateur like me, I probably won't ever need to replace it.

Great Jacket - I'm a beginner but this works great for me!
I looked all over including local welding supply stores but couldn't find anything for less than $40 and they were decidedly less fashionable. I'm a tall guy with long arms so other jackets would leave a gap between my gloves and sleeves despite having longer cuffed welding gloves. This jacket had the right dimensions and even fits with a layer or two underneath. The snaps on the sides let me take it in a bit when I'm just wearing a t-shirt underneath. After using it for long hours here in the first couple weeks of having it, It's held up very well. The jacket shipped quickly and was packaged reasonably without a bunch of stuff to cut through or annoying peanuts, etc.I'd recommend this jacket from this seller any day.

Good jacket not the thickest for stick welding
Size XLFitment: 5' 11", 225 lbs, shoulders 52, chest 43Fits better than the FR model from same manufacturer (FR is a bit looser at waist area might need to order L in that style).ProsGood price pointQuality productAdjustable waistGood snapsLooks goodConsDoes seem to burn thru fairly easy, for overhead stick welding will not suffice. The FR model seems to be thicker, resist burns better(probably a bit of a subjective of review).

Excellent
BSX products are on point. I wear XL shirts, ordered a XL. It fits the way a welding cover should. Exactly what you want from welding gear. It’s lightweight and breaths well. I see pictures of burn holes, simple fix before you wear it add a extra layer of protection starch it

Well Built
This is a great jacket and is very well made. I am not a welder but use it for my woodturning to keep the wood chips and sawdust from going down my neck. Should provide me with many years of service.
