I bought set of 4 actuators for my car and had them installed by a professional during other work. Just after my car started dying. We also had a cold front come in so i replaced the battery thinking that was the reason and a week later the same result. Now any time it sits longer than 24 hours it's dead. Took it back to the shop and they traced the problem to the 2 rear actuators wiring causing a substantial power drain. Front ones tested fine, back ones are junk and now it's passed the "return window" since it wasn't obvious what the problem was right away

Replaced all four door actuators with these, while trying to program my new keyless entry remote. Car goes into a “security mode” after the installation. You need to unarm the alarm by doing the following steps (from club Lexus):1) Lock your doors with the key on the driver's side door, then wait until the red security light goes from constant on to blinking (about one minute) this sets the alarm...2) Go to the passengers door and unlock it with the key and open the door, this will set off the alarm then close the door and go around to the driver's door...3) Unlock it with the key then open it, while it's open use your remote's unlock button and that should stop the alarm and activate your remote...After I reprogrammed my remote, the car accepted the program, but the key wouldn’t unlock all the doors and the alarm would go off. This step did the trip to unarm the alarm and my remote was programmed successfully. Read many forum threads where they used the motor from an “aftermarket” actuator in the stock ones, but these worked just fine for me.

After driver side installation, remote doesn't work the door locks or alarm. I read reviews prior and saw people had this exact problem. I should have listened... This was on a 2001 Rx300

Started with right rear, worked ok.Then right front. It binds due to a poor design. See photo. I marked the old one with sharpy to highlight differences. Used washers to shim it out. Works, but not perfect. Then installed left front. Same binding, again shimmed it.Then found it doesn't even work at all.Didn't bother putting the last one in.
