Fun new game
This was a great suggestion by my son to play over Christmas with the family so looking forward to doing so.

You get what you pay for
Pretty decent for the price. Does not come with bags for the pieces, which I'm not keen on, it's hard to tell who is who. The lines between provinces could be better. It's a good one buy to try with your friends, as it is renowned for being a marmite game! If you like it you can get a better copy, if you don't, it's only £15 quid and can probably sell onwards for a tenner.

CANNOT DISTINGUISH PROVINCE BORDERS
The lines between provinces are so fine, and the blue and black for England and Germany are so dark, that you cannot see province lines in critical places on the map. This is also bad for Italy (although Italy is somewhat more legible). How on Earth do you produce a Diplomacy board whose SOLE PURPOSE is legibility and make everything bloody impossible to see?Get an older version if you can. This version is just awful (and don't get me started on the cheap paper counters....can't even give us wooden or metal armies and navies!?).
