Fastway 80-01-2404 Zip Breakway Cable, 4'

Replaced my tore up way to long with 2 loop breakaway cable. Comes with a nice clip for an easy hook and unhook from the truck.

Beats the heck out of trying to snake the usual break away cable all around and through the truck hitch and wondering if it's correct. I haven't driven away from the trailer to see if it works yet (not deliberately or accidentally). YET - I'll update when I do. :) Give me time!It lists as being 4' long and if you stretched it all the way out it may be. It's just the right length and the coil is stiff enough to keep nice tension on it.There's a heavy keychain ring on the end to attach to the breakaway switch so it's easy to install. The snap ring is big enough to snap into the safety chain loops on my 2011 Tacoma.

Soooo much better than the wire cable RVs come with. Didn't know if the 4ft would be to tight or go with 6ft. If you measure your wire cable it will be the manufacture length, in may case 4ft. At first seems really tight and shorter because of the coiled wire but if extend it, it measures 4ft. Very easy install and now I feel much better than using that old regular cable. Only question I have is..... run it below or above the sway bar. I choose above.

This little device can save my life. Whoa. Here is how it all works. When I am pulling my 18 foot long car hauler, with my heavy tractor on board, you must have strong electric brakes to activate the 4 hauler wheels. If the hauler's connections to the PU truck breaks, all ll electric connections from the truck are severed. The breakaway device is connected to the brake activator on the trailer's tongue. It is one little thing that makes life a more interesting experience.

Cable is a bit flimsy. Use it, but doesn't provide a great deal of confidence if it was needed. But, don't expect to need it.

I had a Fastway Zip Cable on our previous trailer, and it was much more convenient than the cable that came with the trailer. So when we got a new trailer, it was one of the things I ordered and installed on the trailer right away. Much better than anything else I have seen on the market. wouldn't have a trailer without it.

Replace your breakaway cable with this! I had one that broke in half and I saw this one. This thing is awesome! IMHO; it is overpriced for what it Is, but worth every penny! I would buy again.P.S. MAKE sure you are buying the correct size one! They come in different length's!
