These sturdy brackets were a breeze to install. Screws provided are short but did the job.

These are nice sturdy brackets, easy to install. But the screws they include are junk, one stripped out halfway screwed in, two others barely went all the way in before stripping. I swapped out better screws, and no issues.

These brackets are built solid. The one thing I did not use the screws are used a 3 inch wood screws just so I can get into the woods deeper.

Solid feel. Nice finish. Easy install, although I chose to use longer screws. There is a bit of play using a conventional 2-by, so added spacers for snug bar fit.

I bought these door brackets to secure an old “man door” into my detached garage. The door and doorframe are not very heavy duty. So, short of replacing the entire door and frame…I added these to the double thick 2”x4” doorframe that surrounds the door inside of the garage. I used my own hardware to secure them. I use a 48” HD hollow steel rectangular channel as the bridge piece. I had this on hand and it fit…🤷🏽‍♂️A 2x3 will work as well in this application. I also secured the top of one side so the board cannot easily be pushed out from the brackets from underneath, by slipping something through or under the door.I then use the remote to open/shut the garage door. *Pro Tip:…use tie wraps to secure the string manual door disconnect to the door track. Thieves use the small plastic windows to insert a hooked rod to grab the manual pull and open your door.For the $…it was a great solution. 🤷🏽‍♂️👍🏽BTW…these will also work well to secure a large French door with sidelights, if you can mount them securely at either side, at the base...and lay the 2x3 along the floor level. Remember to secure the top of one side so it cannot be bumped out by slipping something between the doors. YMMV..,Good Luck!

When fitted you'd have to pull not only the door but the frame out aswell.

A few years back I got a gag gift on Amazon that teaches you how to pick a lock with a transparent padlock. Within 3 days of playing with that thing I could pick every lock in my house in minutes.
