KLIMBoulder Packable Down Winter Jacket

Buy it. Its worth it.
I stood outside the other day in this jacket. Around here in Alaska, it gets EXTREMELY windy. The wind comes off the glaciers and cuts through every article of clothing you own, even my Eddie Bauer Fuzz Pants were letting some cool drafts in. The only place I felt 0 wind was where my jacket was covering. The jacket is light as all hell, looks sick, its warm, but not TOO warm to where you sweat, and its a KLIM. Just buy the darn jacket, thank me later.

Nice quality jacket, but trust the Klim fit calculator
I just received this jacket as a late Christmas present to myself. Sadly it's got to go back and I'm debating whether to get a refund or exchange for smaller size.I'm a fairly stocky guy I guess...six foot even, 225 pounds (but now that I'm on my New Year's diet that'll change fast....for sure). I used the fit calculator on the Klim website and it said XL for normal fit, XXL for slightly loose fit. I don't like tight fitting jackets so I went with the larger choice. And it's huge on me. I can snug it up with the draw strings around the waist but the body is just huge. Sleeves come down and bunch up on my hands. I could wear a hoody sweatshirt under it with room to spare. So why not just exchange for an XL? I bought it to use as a middle layer under my Reima snowmobile jacket. I guess I didn't notice that the hood is not removable. Kind of a deal killer when wearing a helmet. It's such a nice jacket I'm tempted to exchange it for an XL and just enjoy it but it was a lot of money and we're having a mild winter so... We'll see.
