Stanley is Superior
It's up to the exact dimensions as the original that broke. Bought allegedly same but NOT STANLEY. STANLEY AS ALWAYS QUALITY. Part was at least 4 yrs old.

Very strong through the years.
Purchased to maintain existing stair components. Installed correctly, it carries the rail firmly and attaches through the wallboard to the stud without flexing. This is not built for adult gymnastics with dog gates at the bottom of the full flight of stairs (3+ handrail brackets). It has however supported a 6010 profile heavy wood handrail in the home for more than 20 years. It is constructed of anodized aluminum and one here that failed at the pour where bubbles settled from low temp casting or mold impurity.
