Wonderfilled!
I am loving this book, relishing each story or poem one at a time. I find each story is too good to be followed immediately by another and thus diluted so I am enjoying reading each one separately and really soaking in the imagery, the feelings, the words.I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys traveling or who has already experienced the South West of North America or who feels a connection with the area, the animals, the people who inhabit it.I would also recommend the book to anyone who enjoys the woman's perspective on the landscape and it's relationship to us (and vice versa). It's a beautifully put together collection of stories/prose/poetry. Half of the writing is from previously unpublished writers, the other half taken from published work so there are many wonderful and different voices. The pieces are delightfully gathered together in sections so you can pick and choose which sort of experience you wish to read about right now.I actually bought two copies, one to cherish and read slowly myself, the other as a gift for a dear woman friend who had experienced that landscape herself years ago. I hope you (and my friend) enjoy this book as much as I am enjoying it!
