They look great
These wheels worked well and performed great. However, during the race, my car experienced some bumps on its way down, but I believe this was not due to the wheels' fault. It's worth noting that these wheels may not be allowed in many Derby races, so it's important to ensure that your specific derby allows their use. Fortunately, we were granted a one-time exception and allowed to race, which gave us the opportunity to see the wheels in action. We did not win, but the car looked great.

My daughter (I) won first place this evening with these wheels!
I just won first place among girls and boys in a competition of about 32 cars. These wheels were lighter that the stock provided wheels that likely gave me the edge. In addition to using a very flat body with perfectly distributed weights, canted wheels, racing three wheels, using polished bent nails, and steering into the rail. Thank you for these winning wheels!

Speedy
Bought these to help my son build a faster Pinewood Derby car. These definitely help reduce the friction and is best in combination with smooth axles.

They weren't as smooth as they were sold to be
For a set of wheels that was supposedly smoothed out with a lathe, they were rather choppy. I lathed them some more to smooooth them out completely. I paid extra for the wheels but don't feel like I got good of a value from this purchase.

Great Craftsmanship
**Know the rules of the race before you buy**At more than $20 these are an expensive cost to the derby car for your scout. Team these with some polished speed axles and your total cost is pretty high. My son's car placed third behind two brothers. They must have a secret. That said, I will buy both wheels and axels again. Here's why: The polishing kits to get this kind of craftsmanship cost at least $10 each. Then there is the time to work the wheels and axels with the possibility of making them out of specs. If I believe my time is at least worth $10-15 an hour then I have saved time and frustration for the cost of some cash. The buy allowed me to spent more time with my scout working on areas where he can enjoy and have more fun designing, sanding, and painting the car. If you don't like enhanced faster cars, then don't buy.**Know the rules of the race before you buy**

Worth every penny!
Getting wheels ready for a race takes a lot of time. These come out with a deep layer of graphite and sanded to perfection. Just put them on! It was my kids first derby and they got 1st and 3rd!
