Levi's Men's 512 Slim Taper Fit Jeans

Look, when it comes to proper fitting clothes i do not mess around. This jeans literally makes me smile sheepishly. As a 5ft6 male with an athletic build you can imagine i have a few struggles with off-the-rack pants every now and then. However, this 512s are not my exact fit length wise regardless, every other thing is PERFECT. With 24" quads, 14" calfs and 31" waist, the 30*30 size has a sublime fit on me. Although, i have to roll the pants up twice since i wear chukka boots most of the time, it still looks exquisite. Needless to say Levi's outdid themselves with this cut. It is not skin tight like the 510's and the leg opening is not wide like the 511's. It's a hybrid of both. It has enough room in the thighs with a decently aggressive taper below the knee (that is miles from skin tight) and ends up with a 13" leg opening at the bottom. This is my dream jeans. I've attached a photo to show you how gorgeous i look in this. I ordered the Avenger (black), Skarkely (navy) and Noise Addict (gray). Thank you Levi's.

I’ve been wearing Levi’s (and 512s) for a while now and own many colors. This review is to address the BLACK WASHES available.The pinhead rinse is black but I found the material to collect lint. The patch is black with white lettering for size and style. The rivets and button are a black-painted brass metal and blend in well with the black Fabric. It has faded at the seams a lot over time. Made in Egypt.I just got the Native Cali and I will see how it holds up but it appears to be true jet black with black stitching. The patch is black with grey/black lettering so it blends in more. The rivets and button, however, are more silver so they stand out. “Waterless” model and Made in Mexico.BOTH pants have the red Levi’s tag on the pocket. Both have a brass colored zipper. In the photo, the (aged) Pinhead rinse is on the right and the new Native Cali is on the left. Gives you an idea how Pinhead washes over time. I’ll admit, I did put the Pinhead in the dryer a few times to get it to return to original size since it’s a lighter weight denim and stretched out. I’m not certain, but I think the Native Cali might be a slightly heavier denim, but that may be because it’s new and feels thicker. Generally with denim, ALWAYS wash cold, inside out, and line dry.In my opinion, the best 512 wash and pant is Sharkley. The weight is heavier but there’s stretch. It’s not black, but it’s gorgeous—A deep, mysterious, navy unlike many other washes.(This review is coming from a person who once worked in retail, specializing in designer denim, which is weird, but true. Oh, youth.)

Hands down the best jeans for thin men. Typically...my brother struggles with jeans that are too large in the ankle area and look like bell bottoms on him, (which he hates). These tapered jeans don’t turn into bell bottoms and he likes the more fitted look. For reference, he is 6’ 1.5” and 160 lbs. The 32x34 were a perfect fit. Also, note that Uncle Henry is still “light” but not as light as what appears on the advertisement photos. He says the color reminds him of “cowboy jeans.”P.S. excuse the construction site!!

I am 62 with two older children entering college. I was a 501 Jeans guy for so many years, I would not buy anything else! Then the skinny Jean revolution came out. For the longest time, "No I won't look good in those... that is for young people teens and young adults, who have skinny legs". Someone bought me a pair of 511's... wow they fit great and were skinnier. My wife and kids commented Dad is wearing Skinny jeans!!! But then I tried 512's ... WOW. The perfect pair of jeans and I buy them on the slimmer side with the stretch they fit perfect. I wore 36 or 35x32 501's which were tight on me, but now I wear 34x32 512's and they fit AWESOME and look GREAT! NOW DAD IS COOL with his SKINNY jeans!!! Skinny for me anyway. I know they make them skinnier but these are perfect for me. I hope this helps some of you older guys.

I wear only the 512s and usually get them at a nearby Levi's outlet and they're all just a bit different feeling depending on the wash. This however was listed as exactly what I needed to replace (my favorite pair) and they're not exactly right. What's listed is a denim that is 99% cotton and 1% elastane which would be perfect... But the pair I received are 33% polyester. In other words, even in moderate weather (I live in Texas) these would feel cheap and sticky... But in this heat they're impossible to wear comfortably. After checking my least favorite (the stickyest pair I've purchased at the outlet, those are at least still 92% cotton. In other words, I never buy clothes online for this reason so unless you're ok with waiting to ship them back and all that mess, I would recommend buying in store since these aren't listed correctly. Most don't seem to have the same issue so it's all just preference of course.

I have thin legs and would buy skinny jeans. All brands trying to find some jeans that are well fitted. Usually, cheaper pairs from forever 21 and Target for about $25 -$35. I just happened to discover a pair of 512 at a Khol's and they are the perfect pair of jeans! They are absolutely worth the extra cost! I can't see myself ever getting any other pair of jeans. I highly recommend these pants! This is what women must feel like when they go shopping. 512 for life!Small edit: both pairs of jeans are 32x32 apparently the grey pair are slightly longer. Still love em, just a FYI.

I don’t just buy any Levi’s, they come from all over in different quality but these are spot on and good money too. If you are a purist you won’t be disappointed 👍🏻

I basically live in Levi’s 512’s but since ordering online it’s been extremely hit and miss. I have one out of 3 pair that I would say fit true to size (for me that 34-34) but that last pair I ordered I could hardly pull up they were so tight! So I returned those and sized up to a 36x36 which worked better for me. I’m not sure if that’s just for the black denim or if it’s just the gamble you make buying Levi’s these days in general!

I usually wear 511s, but decided to give the 512s a try and was pleasantly surprised.The 512 has a nice taper all the way down the leg, and it kind of rests on top of your shoe.I’m also a massive fan of the stretch fabric.After buying a few pairs a few years ago, I haven’t been able to wear anything but Levi’s jeans since.I have a hard time finding the Levi’s stretch in store in my size, so these were a great pick-up!

I'm happy with these jeans. I find it can be hit or miss when buying levi's online, specifically size and quality. From what I can tell these jeans appear authentic, they fit as 512's should, not too tight, nice taper, material is a little stretchy. I bought these on sale so value wise it was a great purchase.

I recently purchased 2 pairs of the 512s in different colours.I used to wear 511, however 512 has quickly become my new favourite.I like the way the jeans taper all the way to the ankle, and the cuff sits above your shoe.The Levi’s stretch is also a game changer, and is much more comfortable than regular denim.
