Great for Post-Partum
After having twins, I tried getting my abs into shape by doing pilates and by doing a certain exercise ( you get on all fours, put your hips in neutral - inhale and let your belly sag - exhale and bring your abs in and hold them for 5-10 sec.). It brought my stomach muscles together in 2.5 to 3 months. Then I wanted something to take it further. I got this one. I love that there are so many variation - even though it may be based off of one move its amazing how one small variation can make such a big difference.Right now I'm still in phase one for "from baby to beach". I hope to soon be able to go to phase 2 and then the regular program.I say that this is great. There are so many exercises in here that I've never seen before. I'm 21, but when I was going to school all you could do for abs is: crunches, reverse crunches, and cross-overs for the obliques. Its really amazing how much abs workouts has evolutionized. This might not be very good for someone whos very in shape, but for someone who is not, its a book to grow with and to grow into. Plus, great for post-partum bodies. I've noticed its improved my pilates. In just 3 workouts, I've noticed my abs have gone down quit a bit, my posture is better.Plus, his recommendations for cardio are awesome and I've never seen them anywhere before. Right now doing 5 min slow, 5 min fast, 2 min slow, 5 min fast, 5 min slow is sooo good. I've improved in my conditioning so much already.I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to strengthen and lean down on your abs.My only complaint - how come he doesn't have a butt, thighs, and hips book for women?

Great for beginners, helped me build confidence
I purchased this when my baby was nine months and I wanted to rebuild muscle tone in my back and abs. I hadn't done any exercise for years but this book helped me ease into it. It is organized a little strangely but as the author explains, it suits people who just want the workout as well as people who want to learn a little physiology too.The first time I tried the level one workout, I couldn't even touch my toes. After doing the routines four days per week for two weeks, they were a breeze- then I moved on to level two. By that point I could complete the exercises but felt the burn. Now, two months later, they feel simple. Now I'm ready for level three.I've recently added aerobics to my routine, per the request of this books author, and in just two months, I feel better, I look great (from size 12 to my pre-marriage size 8) and the routines aren't boring, so I don't dread my fifteen minute workouts each day!

Want to wreck your back?
This book is old school. It has exercises that can hurt your back. I was disappointed in it. I thought it would be progressive and gradually build up your muscles. But, to have strong abs you need strong back muscles, something this book doesn't take into consideration. Not for beginners for sure.

Great for anyone!
I'm a huge fan of this book! I've owned it for 2 years now and still learn new workouts and tips each time I open it up. To be honest, I don't practice it regularly; however, most of my ab workouts that I do (which is usually about 2-3 times a week) have come from this book. The pictures are super helpful! There's helpful and very important tips and facts that I've incorporated in all my exercises. I definitely recommend this to all women, because we deserve something that's made just for us!

Most Comprehensive AB book for Women around
This really is a GREAT book...very comprehensive in both explanations about how and why to do ab & core work that I didn't have, even with all the books and articles I've collected. Also an extremely comprehensive collection of all types of exercises so you can take the overall concept/schedule and pick the exercises you like best. Now I can get rid of all the others and just use this

Good book, the wife likes it
Good book, the wife likes it. If you already have his other abs books this is not a lot of new material, but is tailored to women.
