OUAI Melrose Place Candle

I adore the OUAI Melrose Beach candle. It smells so fantastic -- citrusy with a subtle floral tone. It smells so clean and crisp -- like you let fresh air in the windows. However, I've noticed with each successive purchase that the candle refuses to burn all the way to the edge no matter how long I leave it -- and as a result, develops a deep hollow center such that once you get to end of the candle, you're left with a lost of wasted wax. This is the 3rd OUAI candle I've gotten where this has happened. The wax also sometimes pulls apart from the inside of the container completely which "floods" the wick. I can't justify spending this much on a candle where at least 1/3 of it feels wasted due to substandard craftsmanship. It's a bummer because the smell really is outstanding.

Although this candle has a wonderful fragrance, it does not permeate as well as I hoped it would. The candle itself comes in a heavy and sturdy ceramic holder that is a lovely, matte pink shade. It burns cleanly and beautifully, and would definitely make an awesome gift, especially if used in a smaller space.

I was so ready to fall in love with this candle, however I was sent a defective candle that doesn't last more than 4 minutes staying lit!

I LOVE OUAI hair products so I was thrilled to find this. When the product arrived, the wax was very, very soft. Since I live in Texas and this came in the summer, I assumed that it would eventually harden up, but it's still strangely soft. It's still solid, just soft. Smells great, just a little strange.

Was so excited to receive BUT the wick to the candle was missing, very disappointed
