No Commercial POP UPS!!!
This book has answered the questions I wanted to know. I was having a conversation with my coworker about Cement Work from Odell Complete Concrete and Woodworking from Paul Sellers and how I’ve been learning from YouTube countless other Craftsmen and Craftswomen like Eric George’s PBS show and Mary May. Then my coworker told me that he learned Cement work from his father in law and he has several books from him and he’ll bring it in for me to check out. Well, A.G.S. was one of the books and just looking at the cover I knew that we would become enemies because I would hold onto this book for too long. One cannot read this book in a week and know everything. Jim’s father in law has passed on and given him the books(I believe it was the 1st or 2nd edition) to keep his trade in the family. I even told him that I couldn’t take his books off of his toolbox because if I did he would give me his two cents about not returning his book when I clocked in for work. I read the introduction and more than half of the book. At this moment I’m learning how to make pavers from O’Dell Complete Concrete and want to try something different. His paver videos on YouTube are priceless. My last conversation with him was about mixing Decomposed Granite with Cement to form pavers. My only issue is that there might be organic material in the granite mix causing my larger pavers to fail. I still might do it. I have made over 12 types of wooden forms from 4EA 2’X2’X3.5” for my driveway addition and 8+ forms mimicked from Techo-Bloc BLU pavers which are made to the exact size. At this moment I haven’t mastered Mary May’s Carving techniques in which I want to carve paver stamps out of wood. Too many obstacles during this pandemic and my job with the Airline Industry and other stuff are holding me back but my work around is this book, motivating ideas from the people mentioned and my family. I wish that I could afford to pay people to do work for me but I had and email conversation with Eric Georges and I told him that I wish that I could have the space around my home to build a forge or the other hobbies his guests have. Eric’s response was that: I’m paraphrasing now “You would be surprised on what people are creating with small properties.” That one conversation reminded me on my amazements seeing creative people in Jamaica, Tijuana, Djibouti, Atsugi and other places in my travels create in the space they were raising generations of family members. Sorry but reading this book has brought back so much memories that I had to write something and I hope that the sellers are not going to profit by raising the price because that would turn so many people with potential but not the means to a decent education. I got this far by hard trial and error and hope that the “Average Joe or Jane” will continue to educate themselves with books like this. I’ll definitely return to this book for all of my home hobbies. The best thing is that once I open this book there’s no pop ups for tools that someone thinks will make my life better. I’m tired of searching for an idea and getting distracted by an advertisement. Nowadays I’m glad to purchase books.

Most anybody would find this useful.
I was introduced to the AGS very early in my career in construction. But I never had one of my own. Hard cover editions cost over $500. This soft cover edition fills the void very nicely. The graphics are just like what I became used to over the years and It's just a lot of fun to browse cover to cover and experience the wealth of information and data available therein.

Be Aware of the Low Resolution Graphics in the Kindle Version
I ordered the Kindle version of this book because I don't want to carry a heavy book with me as I would be using this book at school and at home. However, I don't recommend it if you are ordering the Kindle version. The graphics and tables play an important role in this book (well this book is all about graphic standards...), yet in the Kindle version, the graphics are very small. If you try to zoom in the pictures, the low resolution of those pictures and tables makes it very blurry and difficult to read. If the publisher have included the high resolution files for the pictures and tables or updated the files, it would certainty be better. I had to request a refund for the Kindle version I ordered simply because the resolution of the graphics does not serve the purpose of this book.
