Samsung UN24H4000 24-Inch 720p LED TV (Renewed)

I'm basing this review score based on it meeting my needs. One thing that drives me crazy is when reviews for different products are lumped together and that seems to be the case with this TV as each sized model has several differences from one another. This review is of the 24-inch model.Reason for purchase: To replace a 20 year old SD TV that is used in the kitchen. Needed a TV that would still fit underneath the counter and wanted 1 with 2 HDMI inputs (one for the digital cable adapter and one for a Roku express).Pros:-Perfect size for my needs.-Picture quality great. Lots of adjustments available to tweak.-Wasn't expecting it, but plays mp4 video from a USB 3.0 stick formatted to NTFS.-2 HDMI inputs- lots of TVs in this size price range only have 1.-Bought refurbished, but could have passed for new.Cons:-Remote is functional, but feels cheap. Not sure how durable it will be.-Sound needed a lot of adjustment as the default settings sounded tinny. Having equalizer settings helped greatly.-No headphone jack (not really needed for a kitchen TV, but due to sound being tinny until spending some time tweaking settings, I likely would have used a headphone jack to give some external speakers a try.Unknown:-Durability. Will update this review if I experience problems.

Arrived in perfect shape, very well packaged and protected despite being in a plain brown box. Even had the protective plastic cling-type wrap over all of the front surfaces. Simple to set up, had the stand attached and was scanning channels in just a few minutes. No problems at all with appearance or operation, and I do believe Samsung makes a fantastic tv. I use only basic cable straight from the wall (no cable box) and every available channel, including the digital sub-channels were captured unlike some of the less expensive single tuner makes.

It's hard to find a small TV in the stores...30"+ seems to be the only options. So I checked online and found this refurbed 24" Samsung for $99. Delivery was quick with A-Prime and the television works perfectly right out of the box, as it should. Not that I need it, but there is no headset / earbud jack, which seems a bit odd for this size TV, and I dinged the rating by 1 star because of that.The picture quality is good and the sound is good. No complaints. Excellent value.

Only real complaint I have is the tape they used to wrap around the plastic. Nothing wrong with sound or picture. Didn't notice any cosmetic damage to the unit. Happy with my purchase. Had a very small number of choices for a 24in TV. My old 32in was too big for me I know weird. It broke only reason I needed a new TV. It really came down to the Samsung refurbished or new. I've never had any issues with returning something I bought on Amazon so I convinced myself to save money and buy refurbished. Glad I did there is nothing wrong with it so far. No issues with sound cut off or picture cut off. There was a certain show that was loud in all the wrong places. One of those shows you had to turn down during fighting/battle/music scenes but then had to turn up when people started to talk because you couldn't hear. I don't have this issue with this TV. Unless Hulu fixed the problem while I was in between TVs. Which would be a weird timing. I have yet to play video games which is the main reason I needed and HDTV. I could not read the words on my old SDTV. I do not have the time at the present to play video games. If i have problems with it then I will update my review but I doubt there will be a problem.

Spectacular picture considering its only a 24" TV. Still, its a good TV, if you're looking to replace onethat you lost from a hurricane. My 55" HDTV got destroyed in Hurricane Harvey, so I had to buy thisTV as a replacement. Its good and I plan to add it to my bedroom, when I get my old apartment back.Anyway, I love mine. I highly recommend this TV. If you can buy your own. Its worth every dollar.

It died literally three days after the warranty expired.

The TV was very well packed and protected. It looked and function like a brand new TV. The picture quality was perfect for a 720p LED TV.

just what it was supposed to be. Nice looking tv, but sound is a little tinny. Speakers are in the back, so sound has to be turned up to hear. But, I am a 76 year old man, so hearing could be a problem.
