I looked for a cable rated at my radio's power requirement - ICom iC-v8000 VHF. The description and review leads me to believe this was 20A. It is not.Wire size is smaller than expected - looks like 16 gauge. Fuse was 15A. Fuseholder is barely crimped on and almost impossible to open with out damaging the latches. I'll re-crimp and solder. Fuse clips are not tight on the fuse, so will probably overheat.I decided to keep this for use on my workbench for testing. I would not install in a vehicle.

I noticed the bad solder joints at the fuses because the black wire was not connected. It didnt even make it out of the package in one piece. This could cause radios to fail and burn the transmit circuits. Oh and dont use small coax(RG58) on VHF/UHF/GMRS. Just asking for trouble.So I re-did all 4 solder connections to the fuse holders and now I know that I am getting full power to the radio.

What can I say... this is a great replacement cable with plenty of length to connect my mobile rig I had acquired that was missing the power cable. It came with fuses and has worked flawlessly since installed. This is a great product and I won't hesitate to purchase more from this maker. Thanks!
