Shuts off on its own
I really like this fan. Quiet even on high and moves a lot of air. My only gripe is that it has a 12 hr timer that can't be turned off. Not the end of the world but if I turn it on mid evening, it could turn off in the morning and the silence of the fan will wake me up. I'm not a light sleeper but I absolutely cannot sleep in silence. So if you're the same, make sure to press any button on it before you go to bed lol

Cool air
This fan is really great. It is just like it’s name, hurricane wind. I wanted a fan with a good force of wind and I finally found this floor fan. It’s a little too quiet for me but it’ll work. I love the look of this fan too. It’s a pretty fan. Love it. Perfect size and you can adjust the height. Remote control works ok. Just an added bonus.

It’s entirely plastic
I wanted something a little more durable & appealing. Yes, it’s a fan but for the price I’d recommend doing a little more research before purchasing.

Moves a lot more air than previous Lasko.
Heavier built and more powerful than my Lasko upright. My son had a wall mount that could blow you away at close quarters and that's one reason aI paid a little more than usually for this fan. I am glad I did.

ENERGY EFFICIENT 24w on high speed, quiet with a fused plug Remote works/air blows up to 25ish ft
WHY would they make a big deal about the energy efficiency of this fan in several parts of the listing, but not actually TELL you what it is??!! Well, this fan has 12 speeds. On the highest speed, it uses only 24w. I will go through all of the speeds for you being they didn't. 1 is 1w; 2 is 2.4w; 3 is 2.6w; 4 is 6.2w; 5 is 7w; 6 is 7.8w; 7 is 9.5w; 8 is 10.5; 9 is 11.6w; 10 is 13w; 11 is 15w and 12 is 24w. You can definitely hear and feel the difference in going from 11 to 12. On the highest speed (12) you can feel the breeze about 25 feet away. While the wattage is low, the fan is powerful. This uses a DC motor which is why it is quiet and saves a ton of electricity. I just noticed that the plug has a fuse in it. It is removeable and replaceable by sliding it out. If the fan should ever not work, check the fuse. It uses a 2.5A, 125V fuse. Autozone or lowes should have it.This is adjustable in height by removing 1 or both of the center poles. It would have been nicer if it could slide up and down instead, but this works. It comes with a remote or you can adjust it on the fan for when you lose the remote. The cage will be easy to open and take apart to clean, it just snaps in. There is a screw there too, but my eyes are not so great and being this is not a metal blade fan, it's good enough. The fan is pretty quiet and you definitely feel a strong breeze on 12. papers on my desk need paperweights and the fan is 4-5 feet away. I don't know that all of these speeds are really necessary, but they are there. In the south, I will be using this on 12 most of the time. I wanted to use this next to the bed sometimes at night instead of the overhead ceiling fan. While I had out my energy meter, I decided to test 2 other popular and well known fans, Vornado midsize tabletop 42, 44, 53w and Hunter bronze metal 12" tabletop fan (retro) 25, 30 40w. You see it really is not worth the energy to keep any fan on low as it does not move much air and it just wastes the electricity for the amount of air it moves. I have found that to be true of any fan or air purifier that is not energy star rated.Assembly will take about 10 minutes and is pretty easy. The fan is not too heavy and can be easily moved. I am sitting at my desk with this fan abut 4 feet away on speed 2. I have chills at this speed and you can barely hear it. It is a nice soft breeze so I do appreciate all of the speeds this offers. In looking over the listing again, I do see somewhere they made reference to the watts of this fan being 60. That is WRONG! It is only 24w on it's highest speed. I'm thinking they may have meant that it performs like a 60w fan?! I checked my meter again, it is 24w so this will save a ton of money keeping the AC a bit higher and using this fan. Operating this fan will add pennies to the electric bill. love it.And the last comment I want to make is about the included remote. You can probably use a small piece of velcro to secure it to the fan when not in use. I did test the remote from 20 feet away. It works fine. Not sure how others had a problem with the distance? I kept testing various distances and it looks like the limit is about 25-27 feet as long as you are aiming at the front of the fan. It will not work if the fan is sideways or you are not aiming at the front of the fan. Seems like the remote distance and feel of blowing air are about the same, 25ish feet. The battery is included in the remote already. When you need to replace it, it is a CR2032 battery.
