so much love and effort put into these fun stories to teach the alphabets! most of the people who worked on these books were the same team who started the tv show. the artwork is gorgeous. the stories are really fun.got a secondhand copy..pretty neat! im lucky the previous owner preserved this. these books are not available in reprint.

My nephews love this book from my childhood that I wanted to get them their own copy ( they are 3 and 5 and both enjoy). Turns out it is now out of print, a shame, so I searched the used book offers for those in excellent condition. Apparently that seller and I have very different understandings of the meaning of “excellent,” so that was a disappointment. That said the stories and illustrations are fantastic so worth buying it anyway, and I suppose they are rougher on things at their house compared to their grandma’s, so although our 35 year old book was still in better condition than the one sent, probably any book I give them will reach a pretty “worn-in”/used quality anyway, so maybe I just have to relax. I guess it bugged me most on principle— i.e., that it was a bait & switch, or I was duped— bc the actual problem is pretty minor compared to the other worries in my life, so yeah, I can’t logically explain why I was so peeved other than to say it violated my sense of honesty, which is an impt principle to me.

Funniest most creative childrens book. Love reading to my 5yr old granddaughter

I remember this book very well from childhood. Easily one of the best Sesame Street Books ever.

The story that I bought the book for has a dime size burn hole through all the pages of that story.(sigh) Every other page in the book was fine. Very disappointed.

This is an excellent story book. I enjoyed it when I was little. Now I enjoy reading it to my granddaughter.
