Archer: Reynolds Protective, Book 1

This series is one of my all time favorites. I’m going to review all 4, but wanted each book and brother to have their moment. 😍Archer Reynolds runs the Reynolds Protective Group along with his 3 brothers. I have really been into the bodyguard trope lately so I was sucked in immediately. The first book follows along with Keira and Archer and their journey is a roller coaster. Keira and Archer meet under unusual circumstances, when Archer was a detective for Boston PD and was tasked with keeping watch over Keira while her father testified against the Irish mob. They develop a bond, but after a series of events (no spoilers!), it changes the course of their lives.Fast forward 4 years later, Archer, thinking he failed, has moved back home and now runs a private security firm with his 3 brothers. He is in for the shock of his life when Keira shows up in his town. Archer and Keira have a lot to talk about and a lot of feelings and emotions to come to terms with, but a threat looms over their heads and Archer will stop at nothing to keep her safe this time around. Their relationship is deeply complex and intense and I found myself saying “just one more chapter!” constantly as I read.This second chance romance is exciting, angsty, suspenseful, and deeply emotional. I couldn’t put it down! This first book does a great job at setting up the next three books as well, giving you bits of pieces of each of the other three brothers. Archer is SUCH a hot alpha male, exudes BDE and is fiercely loyal, protective, and possessive.This was a top 5 read for me this year and the rest of the series only gets better!!4.8/5⭐️

What an involved story, well told and really about families. The two extremes the very corrupt and the tightly knit. And of course finding and losing love. The author did a great job weaving this together.

I love how Dr. Rebecca Sharp waived in the backstory for Keira without throwing it in my face. The way that Archer has this overwhelming need to protect what he thought he lost is perfectly written.Found this book because of TIKTOK. I'd been seeing it recommended for the people who love criminal minds. They all said this book has Hotch vibes. At first, I couldn't see it. Then all of a sudden I saw it and now I can't stop. I recommend this book not only because I loved it but because it's well written and you can see the character development from start to finish. There are so many other reasons why I recommend this book, more than I have space to write in this little box with a character limit.Thank you so much, Dr. Rebecca Sharp for writing this book. I am going to be starting the next book in the series. Hunter. I can't wait.

I absolutely love this book!! Spicy, romance, on edge! Everything I love in a book. Definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance book!

Reading this book taught me that I'm not a fan of insta love, but overall it was still a fun read.I enjoyed the plot overall, however the FMC was a little oblivious for someone with her upbringing and her blind spots were blatant when compared to the rest of her behavior.The interactions between the MMC and his brothers are a highlight in this story, and the romance was solid once we got past the insta love trope. Archer is a great MMC and was believable in each aspect of his character.I didn't get any of the Criminal Minds or Hotch vibes from Archer at all, but I don't mind that because I'm not into Hotch in any way.Also a solid and positive way to do an age gap romance.Definitely worth the read.

Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Couple: Archer & Keira**********“I’m saying that there will always be something to run from in life, baby,” he rasped softly. “But I want to be the thing that makes you stay and fight. I want to be the hope that makes you stand against the odds.”**********New author for me, good writing, pace, storyline, and spice. Goodness the tattoo scenes were a chef kiss! I really enjoyed getting into this story and liked both Archer and Keira. Meeting the family was fun, setting up the future books. Big fan of family, found family, and a possessive hero. They were perfect for each other, both had to find a way to be vulnerable and trust again, when the walls came down it was beautiful. We also got us a little suspense thrown in the mix too.

Archer is from Wyoming but currently on the Boston Police Department, and working protection detail for 19 year old Keira, whose father is testifying against the Irish Mob. The weeks pass and they form a relationship where he cares for her a lot, but will not cross the line due to his job. The last day of the testifying, her and her dad head for an SUV and are gunned down. He is sure he failed her by not keeping her safe, quits his job and returns to Wyoming where he and his brothers open Reynolds Protection. Four years later he is surprised to see a ghost in town. The relationship reconnects and grows and he is protecting her again.The characters are complex with backstories, intense feelings, great banter and a bond that will not stop. The storyline is suspenseful with deadly situations, hidden agendas, secrets, surprises, stolen art, shootings, beatings, ransacked locations and threatening communications. Loved the chemistry Archer and Keira have and how it grows, especially at the very end. The story will have you on pins and needles and you will not be able to put it down. Really enjoyed this story and can not wait to read more of this group.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I loved this book so much. Well written characters, great story line.Can't wait to read the rest of the series.

I loved Keira and Archer so much. This is a kind of second chance romance where we get to see Archer slowly let down the walls that he built around himself over the years.

I went ass about face and read ranger first so I cycled back and started the series from the beginning. This was a fantastic read with captivating characters, a plot that didn’t stop and some spicy scenes to sizzle the eyebrows. I thoroughly enjoyed it

Totally read this in less the 3 hours there were parts where I didn't know were the story was going loved it and can't wait to read the next in the series
