Q: Name for the product claims it is a climbing carabiner. How much weight does it hold?

It should under no circumstances be used as a climbing carabiner. It can be useful elsewhere, but not for climbing.

Q: Does the blade lock open?

The small knife from this keychain carabiner is not opened by the pop-up mechanism.

Q: Description says blade size is #20 but the pictures and the item i received say #24. which size will i need for a replacement? will either work?

The lock on the carabiner is the same fitting as a #4 scalpel handle. So anything that fits on a #4 handle should fit on the carabiner. Scalpel sizes that fit on this handle should include sizes 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 22A, 23, 24, 25, 25A, 26, 27 and 36. Now, I haven't tried all of them yet to see which ones might be too long but the majority of these should work. Disposable blades are pretty cheap so it wouldn't hurt too much to experiment.

Q: Can it use #10/12 scalpel blades?

No, this carabiner knife can't fit the #10/12 blades. It only fits the blades of #20/23/24. If you prefer the knife with #10/12 blades, please switch to another mini knife from our store (Asin: B08YDCVVKG). Thanks!
