Snug Vest

The Duopa pump has one big problem: its size. But after a year of trying alternatives, we finally got this vest and found it worked better than any of other in keeping the pump accessible and relatively comfortable. It will be more so when the weather changes

We used a fanny pack for 9 months, but we kept having issues with it coming off and difficulty with clothing. The vest is working so well that we purchased a second on so that we could cycle them out for washing.

Although it reads snug vest. It is very snug and difficult to put on.

I like using this vest when I go to the gym. It is very discreet. No one can tell I’m wearing a pump.

This vest does the job. The size is a bit too snug, so get a larger size than you planned. It took me a couple of tries to get the right size. Also, it would be more helpful if the vest had a Velcro closure on the bottom rather than a zipper. My husband has Parkinsons and when he is off his meds as he is when he's putting this vest on, his coordination is off and his fingers have difficulty getting the zipper connected and pulled up.

I ordered a small and it was indeed SMALL. I wear an adult men’s small polo shirt and they are a little bit loose. So while I expected this to be snug, as its title suggests, it was TINY...I could barely pull it on. The design is a bit goofy: it is a pullover with a half zip...from the bottom. Your pump rides external to the vest, in contrast to the brown vest that is sold (love the HUGE range of colors available on that one, btw...and this one too!...just kidding). I think that I will order another of these black vests, but perhaps a size large. I think that it might be just the ticket for working out. We all know that the Duopa pump itself is a chunky device using old technology, making it far more bulky and heavy than it would be if the latest, smallest, and lightest technology were applied in a complete redesign of the pump. The chunky nature of the pump means that if you try to run with it or use it in any workout routine, it bangs against your chest in a very uncomfortable manner unless you secure it with ace bandages or the like. None of this is meant as a criticism of the Duopa concept: the benefit of the pump delivery far outweighs the disadvantage of wearing what feels like a brick against your chest. Three stars because the size small was REALLY small. And the color selection...please at least make a white one so it is more easily hidden under clothing.

My husband had one of these a few years back and we traded for a different kind because it stretches out after awhile. And you have to wear it under a shirt if you don't want to put a whole if all of your clothes to put the tube through. And I would recommend ordering 2 or more so that you can wash them frequently. There aren't very many products out there for this particular pump but, overall it is one of the better ones. It keeps the pump upright and closer to the body then the fanny packs which tend to drag down due to the weight of the pump.

Low quality product. Zipper started getting stuck after one month making the product useless.
