Art Magick: How to become an art witch and unlock your creative power by Molly Roberts is an interesting read by anyone interested in art and magick, or any artists wishing to explore their craft in a different way. The first section of the book provides instruction on enchanting tools/materials, creating a magickal workspace and about how color and symbols play into art and magick. The second section of the book includes directions for about 15 different projects based on crafts such was weaving, painting, ceramics and mixed media.Rating: 3/5 StarsRecommendation: I liked the initial commentary in this book about weaving together art and magic, and the varity of projects. Enough so that I ordered the physical book (I had been reading it as an ebook from my library). However, the first project I attempted didn’t work as the author described and I had to tweak the instructions to make it look right. I’ll keep the book in my physical library and probably try another project, but not if I’m needing something mindless to work on at that moment. I really liked that none of the projects appear to necessitate being a trained artist or professional crafter and most of the projects are more “craft” projects than “art” projects.

I was so excited for Molly to write this book. If you watch her and love her you will see that she put herself into this book. Every detail! I love that she helps you think out of the box and create magic in a fun and different way. It may seem simple to some but that is what is awesome, it reminds you to really enjoy your magic. Molly I am hoping you write more books!

I have been reading different magickal and metaphysical books for over 20 years, so it's very difficult for a book in this subject to impress me. Art Magick is unique, useful, inspiring, beautiful and a joy to read. It gives just enough background on magick so it is beginner friendly, but it provides many, many ideas for a seasoned witch. The instructions for the spells/ tutorials are fully illustrated and I don't feel intimidated by the projects. The full color pictures add to the inspiration and I am excited to do each project with my own twist. Molly Roberts is an excellent teacher, artist and witch, and this book shows it! Finally, a book that addresses my style of Magick.

The cover is beautiful, and every page inside is inspiring. These make great gifts, too.

I have been a fan of Molly for years and was so excited for this book. I’m sharing it with my 10-year-old daughter who has made several of the crafts. Molly‘s illustrations are unique and beautiful, and her bubbly and playful personality shines through the pages.

First, I made some magic wands. Then I played with clay and geodes. Then I made a potion bottle with paper mache and polymer clay cabochons. Then I made some necklaces out of dominoes. Thank you so much my dear Molly . You have made an old lady happy with so many ideas. I am in my seventh decade of witching and you young people are such an inspiration !!!!!

Lovely book, filled with inspiring ideas and clear guidance on how to create your own art magic. You can't go wrong by adding this book to your collection, whether you are an artist wanting to add a little magic to your work, or a witchy soul wanting to make practice-centered art to display or use as sacred tools.

This is a lovely book. But I'm not sure what age group it is aimed at, as the projects are very child like 🤔

The depth of creativity is inspiring. These projects can take you on a complex artistic and spiritual journey if you allow it. Well done.

I couldn't bring myself to do any of these craft projects as they were just a bit childish and I couldn't relate to anything. Great book for young teens maybe.
