For my recreational reading I often search out western stories and novels. When I saw this 305 page soft cover book (Lone Star Law: The elite law enforcement enforcers who have proudly protected the west since 1823) I immediately purchased it on Amazon for a bargain price.This fantastic collection has 12 exciting stories about the Texas Rangers written by a list of “who’s who” in the western story telling field. They include Texas Ranger stories by Louis L’Amour, Troy D. Smith, Dusty Richards, James Reasoner, Randy Lee Eickhoff, Robert J. Randisi, Peter Brandvoid, Elmer Kelton, L.J. Washburn, Rod Miller, and Ed. Gorman and Marcus Galloway.I really liked all 12 of the stories in this book as I have been a fan of several of these well-known western authors for many years. I found this volume to be one of the best series of western short stories I have ever read. An enjoyable and fun read.If you like western short stories about the Texas Rangers you should check out this wonderful action packed tales written by the masters of the western genre.Rating: 5 Stars. Louis Lamour always wrote great western. Read most of them but love to read them again and again. Wish they would make movies out of these books. I am glad I have a Kindle so I can pull them out whenever I want to go back to the "West". Raading his books makes you feel like you are in the room with them.
