The paint or dye or what ever runs.
Initially gave a good review my review is now changing since the website isn't available for this item.The product was fine until I left 2 of these in my sink overnight. The process used to ink the items is not permanent. I left two in dishwater overnight. When I picked them up to wash next morning the ink smeared and discolored my hands. It is annoying as I don't know how toxic it might be. This should not happen even if you leave them for a week in dishwater. I have well water, untreated with any chemicals. I use mild dish liquid as the strong ones cause severe exema on my hands.

Design rubs off -- safe to use?
Flexible cutting mats were purchased as replacements for some plain ones. The colored design on 2 of the mats is sticky, and transfers to my skin when touched; doesn't need to be rubbed to transfer, just sticks to my skin like wet paint. The other two mats in the set seem to be fine -- the decals are not sticky on them, but I haven't tried using them, yet. Am not sure whether or not they are safe to use with food if the colored portion transfers. The decals on the bad ones have shiny sports, like paint that did not dry; those that are not sticky do not have those "wet-looking" spots. I would not recommend this product.

Color smears and chips into food
I was so very disappointed! I have mat cutting boards that I loved needed replacing so I bought 2 sets of these.1) this is the big one.....THE COLOR SMEARS AND CHIPS OFF into the food! and smears onto my fingers, onto the other boards, etc.2) the size is accurate but too small for what I prefer but that was my preference3) I would have liked to get a refund.

Paint runs
I had originally left a good review, bit I have used these longer now and the paint on all of the boards has smeared and transfered to anything it comes in contact with.The thin, flexible cutting boards are perfect for me. I like being able to prep the food and slide it all at once into the bowl or pot. I also use them as just a good prep surface for making sandwiches, quesadillas ECT. Easy clean up.

Costly mistake buying these
After a couple of months of use, these became very tacky and the colored areas transferred to other items. Unfortunately the transferred ink can not be removed. Getting hold of customer service is such a lengthy process it is not worth the effort. These are destined for the trash, probably where they belonged to begin with.

Great mats but painted on design smears
Cutting mat perfect except that the painted on design smears when wet. I like the mats though and ended up using them to line my refrigerator shelves. They are textured on underside and smooth on top which I like.

Paint comes off on food.
Do not order these mats! These mats have painted designs that are now sticky and smear. I only ever hand wash these. I already threw one away because the paint was getting on the food. Will be doing the same with the remainder as I do not know the toxicity of the paint used. See photo where paint has smeared.

Light and easy
I love that there are 4 of them in less than the space of one wooden cutting board, not that I am throwing away my board. I love that you can bend them with the chopped item easily going into whatever receptacle necessary. They dry fast. And they're attractive. I hope the material lasts and is hard to cut through. We'll see in the longer run.They arrived in a jiffy, too, without too much wasteful packaging!

Color sticks to food and hands when wet
The color used on the product comes off and causes food and skin discoloration.There is no information on whether the color is safe or not for handling food.
