London created a fascinating world of raptors (and people) in the first book. We began to know the two main protagonists, Kylee and Brysen, and their motivations, but we didn't fully know their strengths and weaknesses until this book, Red Skies Falling. I loved delving deeply into these characters as well as the motivations for those around them. A battle is brewing and it's useful to both the characters and to the reader to understand who stands to benefit and how. And it sets us up wonderfully for the third book to come.While I appreciated the machinations of how the battle is unfolding, my favorite part of the series continues to be Kylee and Brysen (and Jowyn, and even Grazim). Finding out more about who they are and want to be is fascinating. I felt the twins were much more fleshed out in this book and I loved delving into what makes them tick.London kept me engaged throughout; now I'm just sad that I have to wait for the next book!

Book 2 in The Skybound Saga does not disappoint. Action packed and full of character development, Book 2 continues the adventures of Brysen and Kylee. I, personally, enjoyed the unexpected dark twists. I loved the different settings (Sky castle!) and magical elements. Highly recommend book two and can't wait until book 3. Buy this series for your fantasy loving teen.

This is a wonderful sequel to Black Wings Beatings and manages to be even better than the first.

Everything there was to love about Black Wings Beating and so much more! The increasing scope of the world Alex London has built adds so much depth to the series and gives the characters we've fallen in love with so many new and exciting obstacles to overcome. Can't wait for the third book of the series!
